Great service, perfect location. All good.
We were here for a weekend and stayed in a guest apartment. To access the apt you need to go up two rather narrow staircases, so you better have good knees.... Service is super friendly and always helpful. The location is great. Really liked staying there.
Interesting Experience
The room is big with a bedroom and hall. As it is sited near to the mountains, at a higher altitude, it was pretty cold. There’s heater though. The hall is pretty dimly lit. No front desk. Stairs to main door and room. Quiet location. Breakfast was really lovely.
Quirky Place, Beautiful Setting
We stayed here overnight, the building is a converted Abbey set in a beautiful setting and very peaceful with plenty of parking out the front. There is no front desk and you are advised (booked with Expedia) to call a number for someone to let you in but the gentleman, who spoke English, was already there dealing with other guests so we didn't need to do this. We had a ground floor room with a huge bathroom (disabled friendly) and proper hairdryer, the shower was very powerful - almost too powerful. The room was quite sparse with a wooden floor but the bed was very comfortable two bottles of water were provided in the room. There is no tea & coffee facilities in the room, but there is a communal fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee makers, chocolates, fridge etc, we didn't use this as we had bought our own kettle. At the front of the hotel/guest house is a honesty fridge and cupboard fully stocked with beers, wine, water and soft drinks, next to it is a sheet where you write down what you had and leave the money - how lovely, again, we didn't use this as we had our own wine. Breakfast was included and was a 5 minute walk to a restaurant through the park area. I have submitted a separate review for the breakfast as it was a gastronomic experience with several courses. We also ate dinner here which was also very good. Unfortunately we didn't get to explore much of the surrounding town as it was pouring with rain when we arrived and we were only staying overnight en-route back to the UK but there is lots to see, a butterfly garden, castle and palace among things so we will definitely be returning and will stay 2 nights to visit Koblenz which is a short bus ride away.
Lovely
Quaint and lovely. Simple furnishings and very clean. No "front desk" and no one onsite to check us in (or out). Had a friend call for us and someone met us within a few minutes. Breakfast is not in the same building and is a short walk down the road to a local restaurant. Food was delicious and more than we could finish. Hotel was a bit difficult to find and away from main areas, but in a lovely park setting with lots of hiking trails.
Bijzondere overnachtingen
Ontbijt is prima, niks mis mee. Lekker slapen naast het heiligdom.
