Great short stay

Reviewed 3 september, 2021

Recently stayed here for 3 nights, during bank holiday, with a large family group and we were really impressed with our time here. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful, making us feel very welcome. They provided a nice gluten free alternative breakfast in the morning, which was more than acceptable for me. The rooms were really clean and provided very good value for money. Hackney family

So comfortable, and welcoming hosts!

Reviewed 6 march, 2020

The bed was so comfortable! I think that’s a key important factor as you want a good nights rest. The food was delicious, and host was very attentive to your preferences. The room was always warm enough, despite not having its own heater (that I could see). The location is great. You’re within an easy distance of the seafront and some attractions, and had choice of food and pubs around, including a Tesco express if needed. Breakfast being a fixed time was a bit frustrating if you wanted to go out early. On my leaving day they accommodated a continental breakfast early for me though, which was appreciated. This just may influence when I’ll book this again in future if I’d be looking to eat early in the day. The pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but typical of an electric shower. The room wasn’t quite as nice as the pictures I saw before, but comfy at least. There was a slight smell in the room, possibly from the toilet. But opening the window for a bit each day seemed to help. The head board on the bed seemed to bang against the wall whenever I moved. Didn’t seem to wake me during the night though.

Ok

Came to this b&b for partners birthday weekend, soon as we got there looked lovely from outside, owner came to the door told us to wait in the bar so we did... no hello or nothing then told us the card had been declined fair enough... partner got out his bank card and said its the same one try it again obvs seeing the cash in his wallet asked if he could have the cash didnt trust us really. Explained about the keys and rules and what not went to the room very small im glad we wasnt there longer than we was. It was tiny bed was ok had to have the window open it was that hot in there one pillow each bad neck and what not, breakfast size was awful but very nice orange juice in shot glasses on the tables and hand to sit with other people in the b&b which we didnt like. Apart from that lot it was ok.

Stayed here for the darts

Reviewed 30 july, 2019

A lovely warm welcome from the hotel owners, good location near to the winter gardens, shops etc. We were 3 couples staying for the darts. Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast very nice and plentiful.
