Very close to the VT campus. Secluded off the main road and private. Hot delicious breakfast made to order - many other Hilton properties are still doing poorly about breakfast. Convenient Diamond parking.
Great Staff - but they need to be more prepared for the volume of guests

PROS: Super friendly staff, everything was HOKIE themed and the rooms were certainly clean etc. Every member of the team is eager to please and they always have a smile. The location is great and offers easy access to the campus (as well as my daughter's off campus apartment on the other side of town). My boyfriend had an omelette at breakfast that was very good, but the breakfast was a major disappointment. Also found it odd that they closed their restaurant during move-in week, when people probably needed it most. CONS: The cost is insane. I understand they are taking full advantage of "Move in week" at VA TECH, but I paid (with taxes) $397 for ONE NIGHT. To me, that's criminal. That is literally more than triple the standard cost for a room at this hotel. I did get breakfast with my room (yay.) but the fact that they ran out of creamer for the coffee and cream cheese for the bagels was kind of ridiculous. After spending that much money on a hotel room, I'd like to at least be able to have a decent cup of coffee and breakfast. The other thing was the size of the OJ. They put out TINY (and I mean, TINY) little juice boxes of orange juice - about the size you'd give a preschooler. We joked that they should have at least offered Capri Sun sizes for us grown ups. We took into account that everything has to be pre-packaged to keep everyone safe during Covid. Doing a breakfast buffet has some challenges, but I still think they could have done better on this one for what they are charging parents.
Great location and Super Clean

Close to Virginia Tech university, very clean, plenty of parking, gas station close by and friendly staff…highly recommend. This is my first choice when staying in the Blacksburg Virginia area. Check it out!

They would’ve received top ratings except the shower had shaved hair from where someone has shaved all over the walls. It wasn’t hard to see because it was in batches. I was disgusted. The room was otherwise clean as far as I could tell. Staff were super friendly and breakfast was good.
