The hotel was clean and staff was so kind. Our only disappointment was the restaurant and bar were closed and the continental was very limited. The kindness of the front desk made up for everything else. Overall for a one night stay it was fine.

Booked through Choice Hotel app. A great deal $44 plus taxes and fees. Everything seemed to be available. It did say, “to call,” but they were still serving breakfast and the note on the webpage did not indicate that the pool is closed like other hotels did. When checking in we were told the pool is only open on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Needless to say we are disappointed and so is our 7 year old. We asked is they had a jacuzzi or whirlpool room and we were told, “no.” Also, a luggage cart was broke and my wife cut her hand on the jagged metal. We did let the clerk know that the cart is broke a s left it in the lobby so hopefully no one else will get hurt. Not a great start to our little holiday vacation.

I Had room 280. Was tired from working/driving all day. Room was noisy from kids in the pool and running up and down the hallway. Pool was on the other side of atrim. Plan ahead if you get this room. Hot water must come from Hot Springs, Ar. Turned on shower and waited for water to get hot. Played 4 games of Euchre online and water was almost luke warm. I figured that was the best it was going to get. But, as I was stepping out of the shower it finally got hot. No fridge or microwave. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Smelled a little like smoke. Worst part. And I hate this, is they put a hold on my credit card twice! Once is okay. But no reason to do it twice. Now it can take up to 10 days to fall off. I spend weeks at a time traveling, probably going to hit 200 days at choice hotels this year soon and all those holds add up. Nobody wants cash anymore, so I'm stuck.
Racist do not stay here

During my stay at this hotel I was harassed multiple times . It’s a non smoking hotel and we got harassed outside for smoking . I got a gun drawn on me for sitting in the car. They didn’t bother anyone else only us because I was with my black boyfriend. Not to mention we had to switch rooms due to finding several mystery bugs . The pool water was disgusting my friend broke out in a rash . The front desk was rude . Other residents were rude but they didn’t get harassed . I felt there was severe racism was going on and I don’t appreciate how we were treated during our stay . DO NOT STAY HERE . If you want to stay here you have to not speak your entire stay or the police will get called .
NOT a good option in the northern Cincinnati area
Reviewed 26 december, 2019
This is our second review of this lodging establishment. In our first review from August 2019, we identified it as a good option in the northern Cincinnati area. We were wrong. Here's what happened. In August, we happened to stay when we shared the facility with a large traveling group (two tour buses) from Slippery Rock, PA. Because of the room crunch, we, as members of the Choice Hotel loyalty group, were assigned to a two-room suite. Although we thought the suite was a bit tired, we were impressed with the value. This time, though, in December 2019, we were exposed to what members of the touring group likely experienced: a regular room. Our first room assignment proved to be inaccessible as our key cards would not unlock the door that opened up to the charming atrium swimming pool area. After our second set of key cards also failed to gain us admission, the sweet but frustrated front desk person decided to give us a different room that did NOT open up to the charming atrium. Our new assignment was depressing right from the start. This room, which was too tiny to contain two beds and a "back door" (even though we had no closet to take up space), was very run-down and, more importantly, was not clean. We noticed instantly the dust in various places, and when she whom I love went into the bathroom, she was greeted by a spider hanging down from the ridiculously and depressingly low, ugly drop ceiling. The spider, which did not survive that encounter, may simply have been trying to go to its home behind the chunk of wallpaper peeling off the bathroom wall. And, by the way, the commode was awfully low as well--quite the squat for my aging 6'2" frame. Heck, even my 5'4" partner in life agreed it was a long way down. On the positive side, we were in the closest room to the ice machine near the back of the facility. Also, we found no bedbugs, which actually surprised us given the overall lack of cleanliness in the room. The generally good quality of the hot breakfast also was one of the few pluses of our stay. These positives--along with the low price of the room ($69+ after taxes)--allowed us to upgrade our rating from terrible to merely poor. But we've stayed for the last time in this sad and miserable hotel. At this point, it's merely a ghost of its former glory. We stay in the Cincinnati area rather often, actually, and we'll gladly spend $20 more for better value in this market.
