Whose smoke? You smoke

Allstate reserved this hotel due to a fire at my home. We couldn't get our room cleaned no matter the begging or tipping. A big-mouth desk clerk stated a neighboring cutomer complained of smoke and had to "wear a mask". I advised that I had smoked on the first night of our stay, but that my husband reminded me of the no-smoking policy, so I smoked outside henceforth. I was deliberately charged $250 for advising her of this although the incident had occurred a week and a half prior. I asked her why, and she said it was because I admitted to smoking!!!!! I paid though incredulously she pointed behind me and aha! A cigarette butt was on the floor. She said that I looked her in the eye and told her " a bald-faced-lie! Since I was cleaning my room at that time, and all my luggage and clothing was in that room, I knew it had fallen from somewhere other than MY lips. She didnt see it that way. However me and my God know the truth. Now I need a receipt but they won't give it to me. I need the receipt in order to provide proof that I paid. When I called back, she stated facetiously that she would pray fpr me and I hung up. They stated that they would not clean my room because of the deep smoke odor flowing from the room (2 wks) We stayed in a dirty room. It was not until I returned to my burned-out home that I realized that every piece of clothing and anything else we had brought from my home was covered in greasy black stains/odor, just like the house. The man from the textile cleaning service had removed all our clothing/bedding/curtains except for the clothes we packed to go to the hotel. I have advised Allstate of this issue and my claim rep states that this can not be overlooked.
Disgusting…would not stay again

I booked a 3 night stay but checked out after the 1st night. Upon entry I noticed a foul odor but ignored it and checked in anyway. The clerk told me to call the front desk each morning before 8 am if I wanted my room clean…umm not ok. I asked if there is anyway a note could be left requesting that my room be cleaned daily (to avoid the inconvenience of having to call each morning). The clerk says “we can try but our housekeeper only cleans every other day”. The room itself was dirty and dingy. I was not comfortable walking barefoot on the floor. The thing that did it for me was my 2 year old screaming hysterically “bee” (his word for bugs)…there was a roach looking insect crawling toward him. The next morning I simply requested a cancellation of the rest of my stay and booked a room with Hampton Inn and Suites (Killian Rd). There was no need to make a scene so I didn’t even give a reason (nor was I asked) for the cancellation. I was so focused on getting out I didn’t snap any pics. When traveling you want a nice, CLEAN, bug free place to lay your head. Sadly, the Holiday Inn did not deliver. I would not stay here again.

Late night arrival and early departure

We arrived around midnight, and I was greeted by a nice young man at the desk...very impressed with him. The room was clean, and we went right to sleep. Next morning grabbed a few breakfast items for the road and were gone. Fine stay. My only concern is there was a ton a construction equipment in the parking lot the night we stayed, so we did not have a parking space. This was a little frustrating, but I would hope these vehicles would be somewhere else. Otherwise a fine stay!
Good hotel, excellent management

Just a 1 night stay on way to FL. Hotel was good, price decent, breakfast good. When we left my wife's phone was dead so we missed the call that she had left her medicine bag in the room. Of course she figured it out when we got to FL. April R. was amazing in helping get this to us in FL when both FedEx and UPS both dropped the ball, she definitely went above and beyond what was required of her. Thank you so much April!
