Amazing Honeymoon Spot!

We spent a few days here on our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED IT! The hotel staff are wonderful! Friendly and very attentive. They went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. The food was great, amazing breakfast buffet, and definitely dine at Tree Tops at least once. The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained. We cannot say enough good things about Anantara Lawana, and we would definitely go back if we got the opportunity. Thank you again so much for an amazing experience!

Festive afternoon tea for two review 1. Exaggerated location We booked this afternoon and hope for enjoy at the tree top restaurant. During that time, there is no guest and they only allow us to eat at the lounge. After arguement for a while, finally they serve us at the tree top. 2. Same kind of foods and desserts. Six pieces of sandwiches in picture and four macarons 3. Forgot ice-cream They have ice-cream and didn't serve at first. Because of it will melt quickly. But lastly they forgot to serve it. 4. Scone or Cookie The scone is hard like a rock. It's taste like a cookie without flavor.
Beautiful but pricey

Loved it here, very cool resort. Makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a jungle with how the rooms and walkways are set up. Great view of beach and relaxing. Loved the pool and staff was amazingly friendly.
Disappointing stay not a kid/ family friendly hotel as claimed

We booked the family villa at this hotel our stay was disappointing to say the least. At first we were greeted by our “dedicated host” assigned by the hotel in which he exchanged numbers claiming that he will be our point of contact for any bookings and activities during our stay no welcome drink was offered. Our host has forwarded through text message kids activities schedule for the week and informed that we should book with him the activities one day in advance. He then drove us in a buggy on to the room. Room had a private pool with a broken fence door full with dead leaves, very dirty deck with dead leaves and bird poo ( deck and chairs where never cleaned during our stay or was the door fixed.) Room service was very poor room dishes were not removed cleaning was minimal toilet was still dirty after room service and the rooms are full of insect mostly mosquitoes. The beach was nice and calm and the staff at the beach were very nice. On the activities schedule we had noticed a face painting activity for the kids, so we booked for that through our host one day in advance. He had assured us that he made a booking for our daughters and should go to the kids club as per schedule. The next day we went with our excited kids to the kids club for the face painting. The kids club attendant had no idea of the hotel activities schedule and said that there is no face painting activity due to COVID. Despite of our host’s booking. That was respectfully understood by us hence we never raised the issue. Next day we made another booking for the kids a second activity “paper making”. And were assured by the host all is well and activities are available as per the schedule forwarded to us as check in. We went again to the kids club which was empty no attendant. We spoke to the manager, which informed us to wait at the kids club. 15 minutes later an attendant came saying “can I help you ?” With an attitude. We explained that we had booked an activity. She heads out, after another 15 meeting she comes back with scrap paper. Sits the kids down opens a video from youtube about paper folding (origami). 5 minutes later they were done. Truly below the expectations of a 5 star resort. We asked to go to Anantara Bophut for a day so the kids can enjoy the kids club, however the host was quick to say “the other hotel is too busy and unable to accept day visits from a sister hotel” . Seems weird, since on the first day they offered us a visit to that same hotel on check in. But we had to sit through their “Anantara Club presentation” which we refused. Ordering room service is a hassle, as room service are not aware of their own menu. We spoke to 3 different people on the phone just to get our order through. Inner shower keeps flooding and outer shower smells of sewage. Upon checkout no one asked about our stay nor was the host available, we had to walk in the rain no buggy was offered. We have been to many 5 hotels and don’t believe we got a 5 star experience here. This hotel is the most overrated we’ve been to.

It was a perfect stay on Samui island. I stayed in the pool villa and it was very comfortable. Everything was fine. Staffs were friendly. Breakfast was delicious and internationally selected. I surely come back in the future.
