Free breakfast not
Upon checking out, the front desk charged me $19 for the coffee that I had with my “free” breakfast. Yes 19 dollars US. Before that, everything at the hotel was fine. I was considering a return visit. The building was a bit rundown, but overall, the staff was great. It is in an unsafe neighborhood and not even close to an typical island vacation experience. But I kinda understood why some guys on less than modest budgets were regular customers at the hotel.
Always a great stay
Hotel Garant is definitely a favorite of mine when in Boca Chica. Clean rooms, good air conditioning and exceptional staff. Owner is on site, and a great resource for any questions. Just two blocks from the town's main nightlife/restaurants and the beach. Hotel is guest friendly, and secure. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.
Great hotel, secure and one block to Calle Duarte/main drag
Lovely hotel, secure entrance, spacious rooms, tons of TV channels, big shower with hot water, small pool with lounge chairs, nice people, and just one block walk down to main drag Calle Duarte in heart of the action, just far enough away to be quiet. Note, largely occupied by men, traveling for business or pleasure or mix, some mid-term; women might feel less comfortable.
Not too good I wouldn't do it again hard hard bed and Huge Roach with wings in bathroom
Big big roach in the middle of the night in the bathroom , besides that it was what u pay for the bed was bad , not comfortable I couldn't sleep at night. It comes with a decent breakfast, be careful because they will over charge you if you are not aware of the prices of things. I have a picture of the roach too freaking huge
