I booked this hotel mainly for the location and balcony and it was perfect! Loved the view of the church and sound of the church bells. Bed was comfortable and staff was helpful. The breakfast staff were especially friendly and accommodating. Perfect location for walking around the city. Excellent stay.

First of all: DO NOT DRIVE TO THIS HOTEL. With so many ZTL areas around the hotel, you make the wrong turn and big time fine, they do provide very nice explanations but still you have to drive in the main PIAZZA of Bologna since the hotel is next to the cathedral. Bells wake you up at 7 or 8 i believe. TO go to the worst breakfast we had in our trip in Italy. Granted The Waiters and personnel were nice, but horrible breakfast Then the worst, the room, we asked for a room with balcony, huge balcony seing the cathedral, room was soooooo small we were not able to have the door of the bathroom and the main room door open at the same time. Having said that the hotel is in the middle of it all, great location, but honestly for this hotel i rather stay outside of the city center never going back again

This is a very well maintained and run hotel steps away from Piazza Maggiore, the historic central Plaza of Bologna. Travelling solo, I booked a single room. For the first ime in many years of travel I actually had a single bed that was about four feet wide. It was pressed against the wall in a small, narrow room. And the bathroom was very small too. Having said that it was very well maintained and clean. My biggest negative was the internet! It had to be the slowest, poorest functioning internet I’ve encountered in a month of travels in Italy. And, it seems they have parental controls or something imposed on it so I couldn’t freely view some sites. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful and accommodating.

Centrally located

This hotel is what I would call very authentic, and centrally located. I lived the decor, and the location. Now. I booked two nights directly through their website and about a week before the trip emailed them to confirm everything is ok, since I was traveling internationally. I always do this with all the hotels. They never replied. Staff was very professional and friendly. Depending on the type of sleeper you are, this hotel might pose problems or might be wonderful. Our bed was hard as a rock, which is fine as a tourist and we could have tolerated for 2 nights. However, the A/C was not working. It would try to start every 5 minutes making a very loud noise and then nothing. We reported this to reception but nothing was fixed. After a night of misery we checked out the next morning and found a different property with working AC. This was a real shame because Bologna is a lovely place and we really enjoyed the hotel decor and location, but not being able to sleep and being constantly waken up kinda ruins your vacation.

I have arrived on the evening time and the booking was ion place. Very fast process for the check in and wonderful room with a lot of spacious and nice bathroom. An incredible location once I pop out in the morning for a quickly and great shopping before to continue my trip
