I am completely satisfied staying at this hotel in Richmond. I often visit Richmond to care for my elderly cousin and chose to stay here other than other hottels. Mainly because of the friendliness of he staff.
Has gone downhill

Had stayed here a few years ago, and it wasn’t a bad spot. Recently stayed and the beds were full of hair and dirt. The sheets nor comforters had been washed in between guests. Maintenance had not been kept up with the property.
Items Stolen From Room - Hotel Management Did Nothing - Terrible Customer Service

I left the room for the day to visit with family. We were gone from approximately 11AM to 7PM that night. We did not feel the need to call for housekeeping while we were out because we we’re leaving the next day. Upon returning to our room, we found all of our stuff had been gone through. All of my makeup products were missing, a T-shirt and pj shorts I left on the nightstand were gone, and my Apple mouse was gone. Thankfully, nothing of extreme value was taken, but the biggest disappointment comes from the absolute terrible customer service we received from multiple members of the staff, including the man in the wheelchair who worked the front desk (didn’t catch his name), the front desk manager who worked on Sunday morning, and the owner.
I immediately went to the front desk after finding out we had items stolen from our room when NOBODY was supposed to be in our room. I explained what happened, I asked if he had access to the security footage, and all he told me was I needed to wait until the next morning when the front desk manager and the owner would be in because he didn’t have access to security footage. When we asked for another room because we didn’t feel comfortable staying, he was unable to accommodate us. Not once did he offer a single apology or solution. Luckily, we were able to stay with family down the road that night. We felt totally violated.
The next morning, I called to speak with the front desk manager about the situation. Again, not a single apology or solution offered. All he could say was “I will have the owner call you in 10-15 minutes”. An hour goes by and we didn’t receive a call. We call back, the manager gave us the SAME exact response about the owner calling us in 10-15 mins, and again without an apology or any solution for us. Another 2 hours go by without a call and I called back this time demanding a full refund of our stay. That was all it took. The front desk manager showed ZERO signs of concern about someone on his staff stealing items from guests’ rooms, lacked complete empathy for our situation, and never once apologized. We were told multiple times the owner of that location would be in that day and would be in that day and would be calling us and we NEVER received a call.
We called back the next day, Monday, to ensure our refund would process. We found out that the owner was never actually there, so we were lied to.
Perfect place to stop on our road trip from NJ to SC

Hotel was located in a mall area, well lit and safe. Rooms were clean. Night staff could have been a bit friendlier but hey, it was 2am. Morning staff were super nice. Breakfast had decent options especially for a Covid world. We even found an Alaska license plate in the parking lot which was the cherry on top!
Breakfast Was a JOKE.

There really was no breakfast. Unless all you want is coffee. Room was not really cleaned well by normal standards, let alone by COVID standards. . Bed was comfortable. Need better water pressure in shower.
