Impossible to rest here
Reviewed 29 December, 2019
I'm currently staying with my fiance at this place right now. It is simply impossible to sleep after 7am, since there is a lot of noise on corridors, other rooms and facilities. People talk loud while passing our door, I can hear furniture moving on other rooms as housekeeping starts to work and noises from the restaurant, among other. As we like to sleep comfortably, I must say I'm truly disgusted by this awful place. I tried to complain about the noise and asked for another room. I was ignored.
The nastiest people in Bonito!

Bonito is a town that on top of its amazing nature you can find great easygoing people! Unfortunately not in this Hotel! The check in was already awful! Very rude! The girl didn’t bother looking at our faces to say a quick welcome! She only handled the form, even to my child lol - never saw that anywhere! And to me it’s something pretty basic, after guests travel so many hours to come to your hotel! During our stay, we had many situations with arrogant, not friendly staff! The girl at the pool bar gives bad looks, like guests bother her! While the young guy is very friendly and helpful!
On the first day, had to change rooms, bc our shower was burning and there was no way to make it warm... then I heard that all their showers work like that! Impossible to even put a hand in the water!
Finally change rooms, it was much better!
Nice area, rooms are ok, internet is so so...
Id think twice before coming back to Marrua.
Walking distance from downtown

Well the busy street of Bonito is really a couple of blocks from the hotel.
Clean room and bathroom, good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Internet in the room was very poor.
Small swimming pool close to the bar area. No amenities in the rooms.
Comfortable, well organised hotel

The hotel is about twenty minutes walking from the center of town, which was no problem for us. The hotel has some taxi service to the center as well but we never used that. If you are too tired you can take a normal taxi back, they leave from the main square in the center of town. The room we had seemed very noisy at first - we found out we were right under the fitness room! So in the evening and ant night when it was closed, it was quiet. Small pool available that is more for kids. Breakfast very nice in a large cool space. Wifi signal worked well. Friendly staff, a few of them speaking english. What annoyed us, that it was "not allowed" the put your own things in the small fridge in the room, and that they make you wear some sort of safety armband that you are supposed to wear day and night. I cut that off right away. We had a pleasant stay here.

Bonito is a city with a lot of "Pousadas", some hotels, and Marrua is one of them. As I look to stay in a hotel instead of Pousada, Marrua is a good option, of course if you have a car. In fact, Bonito is a city you need arrive by car, because all visits are far from the city and hotels or pousada you will stay. I recommend to rent a car to go there, it is very important, I repeat, because each tour you will do are long pg distance from downtown.
