Wi fi didn't work, quirky details.
Reviewed 4 march, 2020
The front desk clerks were extremely nice. The Wi fi didn't work in our room. A couple were standing outside using the wi-f at the North door the next morning. Maybe they were getting a better signal outside. Multiple typed up paper warnings about no pets and no smoking in room or there will be fines. You're supposed to sign in (another sign on door to pool) to use pool, even though you can go into pool area without signing in. I have a feeling there was a group of poorly behaved people using the pool recently who were drinking, smoking and carrying on and probably all brought their dogs to boot. Bad apples tend to ruin things for all. Needed key to use exercise room from front desk, so I didn't use it. Why isn't room key opening pool and exercise room? FOXNews in the breakfast area was good for a laugh. Guessing the remote is hidden for that TV. We had to search for TV remote in room. It might be best to put it BY the TV. Everything blocked on TV, so I couldn't use closed captioning, which I need because I'm hearing impaired. I can understand blocking some stuff on the TV, but the white areas were blown out too and no way to adjust the picture. I would've enjoyed "Tootsie" on TCM if I had known what they were saying. My bed was too soft and I ended up sleeping on the edge where there was still some firmness. I like a firm bed. I appreciate the black out curtains. Hotel is okay, but there must be some rougher clientele staying here. I liked the warm lights with the fan in the bathroom better than the overhead light in the bathroom. Be aware the timer is only for 10-15 minutes with the warmer fan light. I found this out taking a bath when it became pitch black.
Bate and Switch/Overcharged (The Hotel was fine, My problem is with the 3rd party that billed me.)

The price on the Trivago link showed $71.00 for my room and I was charged $99.00 by you people. I may be in flyover country but I know taxes did not amount to $28.00. I did not see a charge from you until the last continue button came up, and I hit it, only to finally see a charge of $99.00, and it was then to late. It was my debit card and it was taken out of my account the next day. If I had used a credit card, I would have been able to do something, which you can't do with a debit card. I also know you paid the motel $78.00. I have used Priceline for everything for years, and never had a "bate and switch" pulled on me by them. I had been seeing you ad on TV and thought I would give you a try, WHAT A MISTAKE. I have an email from Trivago informing me that you should make this overcharge of advertised price right, and if not I am to contact them again. Now you know my story and I am willing for you to make this "screw job" right before I tell my story on facebook.
Good but don’t make it political

Room, service were fine. However, the TV in the breakfast area is locked onto Fox News. I would be equally put out if it were locked onto MSNBC. I can watch either in my room. The Weather Channel is a good choice for travelers.
Front end Staff was just rude

Front end staff on both mornings were rude about restocking breakfast. I could go on about details but I will leave it at that. The hotel is outdated, but it is clean. The housekeeper was kind. I do not recommend staying here. There are several hotels in this area, try another!

Nice hotel, very handsome front desk staff too!!! Was great to be greeted when u first came in. Was very happy with my stay! I would be very likely to return to this hotel. The extended breakfast time if 5am to 10am is great!
