More about the hotel
Comfortable stay in Boone Industrial Park
Relatively new property (built 2019) set back from US highway offers about 50 rooms with upgraded finishes and very comfortable beds. My double-queen room was very comfortable with an excellent AC unit, useful desk, refrigerator, microwave, and single-cup coffee maker. Each bed had four new pillows on it and the room was quite clean and quiet. No pool/sauna/whirlpool but there are jacuzzi suites, meeting space, on-site laundry, fitness room, vending/ice, ATM, and ample parking. Hotel's fitness center has an elliptical machine, treadmill, free-weights, bench, and television. Complimentary breakfast was packaged cold items (during pandemic) but had a wonderful variety of offerings. Small bar window next to front desk and open seating in the lobby. Second floor rooms do require a flight of stairs (no elevator), so any ADA rooms would be first/ground floor. For a work trip, this hotel is quite ideal--it was peaceful and I got a few very good nights' sleep. Lack of a pool is positive there as there were no kids running around the hallways.
EXCELLENT
We had no power for 5 days after a big storm. After several nights of unbearable heat I booked a room at Cobblestone. The front desk staff was outstanding, friendly and efficient and super helpful. Hotel lobby was clean and airy, room was also super clean, bed was very comfortable and very high (which I love but I could’ve used a step stool!) the AC worked fabulously and the fridge and microwave were so handy to have in the room. There was also a washer & dryer on the premises which was perfect as I needed to do a load of laundry. I would definitely stay here again! The only slight negative is there was no available hair dryer, but otherwise it was outstanding!
Stay here if you want to lose LOTS of money
This is the fifth day in a row we have been charged for a one night room at this money pit. Payed for a one night stay, checked out, and each subsequent day they charge us for another day’s stay. So far, a one night stay has cost us about $450. We are heading back to our back today to cancel our debit cards because the motel REFUSES to look into the problem and say it isn’t happening. I will NEVER stay with this company or the mother company again.
Nice hotel but treacherous parking lot and sidewalks
Rooms were great. Hotel very clean. No one was ever at the front desk. They chose to sit in a room behind the front desk. They did have a sign directing you to pick up the phone for service. While I was checking in my daughter was gathering her belongings at the car. She came in crying and laughing ( she does this as she is uncofortable showing emotions)with her cheek cut open and bleeding. She stated she slipped on the ice and hit her face on the car. The desk clerk never offered concern or help. We grabbed a tissue and applied pressure to her face. The clerk stated that her daughter is clumsy too and thats it. I asked for a bag for ice and directions to the ice machine. She again did not offer help only that we could walk into the kitchen and grab a baggie and where to find the baggie. She then stated the ice machine was all the way down the hall and was a long walk. This was around 1pm. We went to the room and got my daughter situated. Around 4pm I went out to the parking lot, it was very icey and no salt what so ever. Went back inside to ask the ckerk if they were planning on taking care of the ice. She stated the plow guy was there and working on it. I went outside a few hours later and there was some ice melt but very sparse. It is one thing to have ice in the parking lot but the driveway and sidewalks were very icey and should have been taken care of and scraped. The other businesses in town had ice free sidewalks and parking lots. The clerk did ask the next day how my daughters eye was doing and thanked her for that. Overall very nice hotel but an accident ready to happen with staff that did not seemed concerned
Ridiculous
Had to cancel our reservation 5 days before our stay due to a family death. I have the confirmation email cancelling the room. We got charged today (the day of the funeral) for our room. I call the hotel, they say they never got the cancellation confirmation email and I have to contact hotels.com and have them contact the hotel. Got ahold of hotels.com and they call the hotel and still no refund. Just frustrating when I can prove I cancelled the room and they don't even want to see it. And hotels.com says they sent the cancellation email the same day I cancelled. So either it got lost on the internet or someone at cobblestone dropped the ball. Just sucks when we are being penalized for this. Any other time I book through another site, I have to cancel with that site, not the hotel. Doubtful I will book at this hotel for future functions.
