Dingy but affordable
Picked the hotel for its location close to friends. It met that need. No frills, no thrills. The rooms looked like they had been remodeled in the 1990s. The furniture was falling apart - the desk leg was falling off - I had to prop it against the wall and chair. They offered no housekeeping due to COVID-19 regulations which they said prevented housekeeping from entering occupied rooms. I have no idea if those are actual Massachusetts or Boston Health regulations. I might stay there again but only to be close to friends - I don't expect anything from the hotel.
Racial profiling? Homophobia? Either way we were refused to check in.
So we were informed that they were not supposed to be taking same day reservations and that Priceline booked us by accident but then I turned around and booked directly on their website... which he had no words to explain. He then said that he would go check rooms to see if they were acceptable... right! Next excuse to not get us in I guess.... but guess what, he wasn’t new as he claimed... he was the owner and then found a room just magically.
Hotel Boston
This small hotel was filthy with a mosquito infested sitting-water trough outside the window. The carpet was too nasty to touch. The upholstery had caked grime on every inch. Unlike other area hotels, they offered no maid service. This apparently included never restocking coffee, towels, etc. Disgusting.

Surprise $25 parking fee! Check-in clerk acted like she didn't really want to be there. This is a old motel cleaned up. Breakfast was ok. Cereal, toast and waffles. Cheap room, you get what you pay for. Doesn't totally suck.
Bad stay
We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette. It was in the main building over The breakfast area. While the location is great and the staff was nice, there were roaches in our kitchen area and bathroom. We left early.
