Decent and Comfortable Hotel

Our room at this hotel was quite clean and comfortable. Also, the front desk and restaurant staff were quite friendly and helpful. However, I am rating this hotel a 4 out of 5 because of the lack of sound proofing (I was woken up twice in the night by folks on our hall that were up late partying) and because of the sub-par concierge lounge.
Wonderful housekeeping staff

Clean, comfortable, great breakfast buffet. The desk staff was a little challenged- had a hard time understanding that the room was paid for by a business entity and not with our personal credit card. Took three tries to get the charge taken off of our card, and the desk staff seemed a tad mystified throughout the process. The ladies who kept the breakfast area supplied and clean were an absolute delight. The facilities were nice and our room was comfortable.
Should have stayed at the Residence Inn opposite.

Whilst the rooms were lovely, everything else about this hotel was disappointing. We had stayed at a Residence Inn in Breckinridge and thought it exceeded expectations. So we booked the Marriott at Boulder for a little more luxury before the 10k Boulder Boulder race. Upon arriving the Reception staff advised us there was no restaurant for breakfast and the lounge was not being manned and only stocked for soft drinks. Next morning we found the process for ordering continental breakfast to be ludicrously slow and unacceptable so we asked to go over to the Residence Inn for breakfast. Faced with our complaint, the Receptionist looked completely out of her depth and very inexperienced. To her credit, she made the call and we went over to have a great breakfast over there. A few other people did this too. The Residence Inn didn't seem to have the same staffing issues so not sure why the Marriott would struggle to staff a restaurant and lounge. Moreover, we should have been advised of these limitations before we arrived and paid 300 dollars a night.
Sloppy lounge, paid parking

Good, central location although does not live to the brand. Fair service, sloppy lounge with almost no food, paid parking. If you are driving, just stay anywhere else for half the price and probably better, updated rooms. Good supermarket nearby.
Not what I expected

I understand that hotels during this difficult time have limited staff to do many jobs. However I was really disappointed that this hotel wasn’t better than it was. They don’t serve breakfast every day and the website doesn’t reflect this. The hotel room was not thoroughly cleaned before our stay. I found dust in the room and more importantly there was an empty drink bottle under the bed. This shouldn’t have been difficult for them to find because the bed sits on a solid box on the floor. If they had actually swept the floor they would have found it. In a time of Covid where Marriott states that they are really cleaning the rooms so travelers feel safe, finding an empty plastic bottle in our cleaned room didn’t give me much comfort. Buff restaurant across the parking lot is where you should go for breakfast since the food is great and the servers are wonderful.
