My family and I (my husband and two year old daughter) booked a King Suite Room. Terrible terrible smell coming from the bathroom. At first we thought it was just the drains, but coming back a few hours later the toilet was backed up, and the entire room smelt like sewage. Went to the front desk to ask for a plunger to unplug it ourselves (disgusting disgusting disgusting!!!) and very quickly found out not to bother her. Very rude, no personality, maybe exhausted but not to be bothered. We will never stay here again. Overpriced for a room that smells like a sewer. Probably one of the grossest experiences on a short "vacation," with my family.
NOISY KIDS W/NO CONTROL

Our stay happened to coincide with a kids baseball tournament. There were kids running everywhere, unsupervised and very loud! The person at the front desk over the weekend could not be bothered to 1.) Fix the breakfast room up the way it was supposed to be. 2.) Tell the PARENTS who were these kids chaperons to keep them quiet after 10:30 at night..Responded to my call "Yea, I guess I could. But it won't do any good" Finally I told the 4 boys who kept running up and down the hallway they keeping everyone else up and they stopped. That was not hard. 3.) she got an attitude with my when I asked her to bring up a lightbulb for one of the sconces that had blown. 4.) Made a smart remark to my husband about "you know I do have a key to come in here" which was totally off the wall and bizarre when she finally did bring up the lightbulb!! NOT TO MENTION!!! The air conditioner from Hell! It made just as much noise as the kids did!

This newer hotel was a great stop for us on our way home from hiking in WV. Our suite easily accommodated our 6 family members and was super clean. Bonus: the grandkids were able to use the pool (capped at 6 persons at a time) which we were most grateful for in the day of COVID. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast selection was good despite COVID - boxed cereal, milk, juice, and coffee, plus to-go bags with a roll, granola bar, apple/orange, and water. We'd definitely stay here again!
Lack of Covid19 safety measures.

My husband already wrote his review, so this is my review (his wife) under his name. On the door entering the hotel there is a sign that masks are mandatory, and not to enter without a mask. Not only was the lady at the desk not wearing a mask, but 85% of the guests were not wearing masks! When I asked why they had the sign and didn't enforce it, she just said "well, I guess we just don't enforce it." We chose this hotel because it was in an area with low covid19 and because we thought they meant it when they said they were taking all of the precautions. I told her that the sign on the door makes people like us falsely think we will be safe there. That is not okay. During any other time I would have given this place an excellent review. The room was nice and spacious and comfortable. It wasn't spotless, but pretty clean. Breakfast, due to covid19, was a bagged breakfast, but that was fine with me. But the lack of concern for the safety of their customers (and the false sign, making us feel protected when we weren't) is much more important than any other benefits, hence the low rating.

Stopped here overnight on our way home from Gatlinburg. Very clean hotel and friendly staff. A hot breakfast was not being served because of Covid 19. Instead they offered a bagged breakfast which wasn't much. Also cereal and coffee were available. I do think the bagged breakfast could have had more items in it. The lobby is very nice and there is a patio outside to enjoy. Overall this is a nice hotel and we will most likely stop here again when driving through.
