Wish we had stayed longer!

Just a one night stop on our way to Pembrokeshire. The Orles Barn was the perfect venue for the start of our holiday in Wales. Situated just a 10 minute walk from the town centre it is a gorgeous example of what you can find when the airports are chaos and you remember that we have a beautiful country worth exploring! On arrival we were welcomed by Roxy and shown to our immaculate room the “Orange Pippin” .Apparently it was a former apple storage barn. The room was on the first floor and had windows to the front and back of the property. A traditional style 4 foot ceramic bath was perfectly placed to give stunning views of the surrounding hills whilst bathing. We had made alternative arrangements for dinner in Ross but the menu looked great and had we stayed a second night we would have dined in. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept so well. The tea/coffee and cosmetic supplies were in line with the best 5* venues. Finally we did have breakfast and it was absolutely perfect! We are happy to highly recommend the Orles Barn

We had a beautiful room - the bridal suite no less - which was delightful. Quiet, lovely large, firm (not too firm!) bed. Definitely one of our favourite places to stay. Very conveniently located near the M50, Ross on Wye and other charming market towns.

An excellent hotel, have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very warm and friendly, the food absolutely delicious and the room we stayed in, Pixie Apple, was beautifully comfortable. We very much appreciated the air conditioning too, as we chose an extremely hot night for our stay! Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone wishing to explore the Wye Valley.

We stayed in the Annie Elizabeth room which was lovely. It was a large bedroom with a super king size bed and plenty of room to move around, including a bath in the bedroom. It also has an en-suite shower room and toilet, and also a separate dressing room. There was a gorgeous twinkly lit ceiling above the bath ( and yes you can switch the twinkly light off when not in use). Decoration and soft furnishings were serene and comfortable. There was plenty of parking. One thing to note is that access is not from the A40 but take the slip road off the roundabout directly after the petrol station and before the A40 towards Monmouth. Our breakfast in the morning was very good and we ate well. The staff were all lovely, very helpful and very kind. A lovely stay.
