Dim lighting throughout the hotel helps to hide the dirty carpeting in the room, the hallways and on the elevators. My wife has low vision and is legally blind. She had great difficulty navigating the room due to the dim lighting. This hotel is clearly not ADA compliant in terms of accessibility for the blind! The room had an unpleasant odor. The complimentary breakfast only had cold items. The cereal dispenser did not function. The coffee tasted terrible. I took one sip, put the cup down on the counter and left. Overall I had an unsatisfactory breakfast experience.
Living in your own filth

two towels. no paper towel. one toll of toilet paper. no sponge. no dishes. no garbage bags. given a broom to sweep my carpet when asked for a vacuum or someone to vacuum bc i spilled something on my floor.... and given an attitude when asking for any of these things.... any other extended stay hotel would gladly provide these things but usually you don't even have to ask. oh the the free "breakfast"... hope u like cereal and cold coffee and tea.
Place is dirty and they charged me 2x for the stay

The place was dirty and smelled. The hallway was never vacuumed and they do not clean your room until the 8th day. Carpet in our room smelled. We had to go out and buy a sponge and soap for the 2 dishes and coffee mugs that came with the room. The coffee pot was old. The worst part about the trip was I came home and found that they had charged my charge card 2x for the 10-day stay. Will never stay there again and do not recommend this place.

Didn't stay because of attitude towards reasonable accommodation for disabled person
Reviewed 15 may, 2021
We booked a 10-day stay here. We are Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members and often stay at Residence inns because we like the wheelchair accessible rooms, since our son has physical disability. When we stay anywhere , we typically request the hotel to switch out the existing toilet seat for our bidet one, since this gives our son the dignity of being able to use the toilet independently We gave the Holtsville Residence Inn a heads-up that we would be requesting this accommodation. Two different staff members , including a manager whose attitude was quite negative, told us that they didn't know if it was possible to switch the seat, but find out and get back to us. Neither person did. So we canceled our Marriott reservation and instead stayed at a nearby hotel of a different hotel chain. This hotel did not hesitate to switch the toilet seat. Plus, staff attitudes were accommodating and friendly--a sharp contrast to those at the Holtsville Marriot, and one much more like the service we a used to receiving at other Marriott Bonvoy properties.
Christina At front desk, Very rude
Reviewed 18 april, 2021
I enjoyed my overall stay at this hotel but Christina at the front desk is very rude & made most of my stay very difficult. She doesn’t know proper hotel policies and because of that she caused disruption during my stay. She even over charged my card and tried to be argumentative about it. Will not recommend this location.
