Martin's Brugge

Reviewed 13 september, 2022

The location was great and Bruges is beautiful, however the hotel is overpriced, the room has not been decorated and does not look like the pictures, with dead squashed mosquitoes on the walls and large cobwebs. Breakfast is over priced and the WiFi is so bad it doesn't work unless you pay for the "premium" no tea and coffee facilities in the room which was disappointing. Wouldn't stay here again.

In a good spot

Reviewed 11 september, 2022

Our four nights stay went smoothly from booking in to checking out, including arranging a taxi to the station. It is close enough to walk to the station but the cobbled streets are not conducive to pulling wheeled luggage. Rooms are clean and spacious enough, though there are no facilities to prepare a beverage. There is a self service facility for cold drinks and snacks. The breakfast seems an expensive item and we preferred to eat out but then the weather was fair.

Fabulous!

Hit the spot! Brilliant location, efficient and polite reception staff. Room spotless. Found our room (714) very quiet despite being opposite belfry and above street. Fantastic value for money. A few minutes walk from main squares. We parked a 5 minute walk away and was easy to find (T Pandreitje which was €12 overnight and secure).

Charged twice, never refunded

Reviewed 15 august, 2022

I booked my stay through hotels.com. Upon check out I was told I stilled owed for my stay. I knew I already paid so I logged into the app and showed the employee at reception that my stay was already paid for. I also pulled up my corresponding credit card charge and showed him that. A woman manager came out and insisted that I still owed. I gave my credit card and paid what they said I owed bc I was uncomfortable and felt like I had no other options at that point. The woman was rude and dismissive. Within a few minutes she walked back over and said I had been correct and that she would ‘take care of everything with the credit card company’ I have not been refunded despite trying to contact them several times since my stay. Never at any point was she apologetic either. I also witnessed them charge one family for checking out 10 minutes after noon and let another man go 20 minutes after check out bc he argued about it.

Excellent 2 night stay!

Reviewed 23 july, 2022

Recently stayed for 2 nights. What a wonderful hotel, from check in to check out the the stay was wonderful, and the staff we encountered were efficient, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, as was the outside space the hotel had to offer. I've stayed in Bruges many time - one of my favourite places to be - but never so close to the main square, the location was absolutely perfect. The only negative point that I have is that there was no opening window in the room, however, the aircon worked perfectly. Would I stay again? Yes, definitely!
