Perfect Weekend Getaway.

It was nice to know that it was an adults only B&B. We stayed in one of the loft rooms "Nepoleon", out the gate the room is spacious with a small TV downstairs a larger one upstairs.. TVs have NETFLIX AMAZON Prime and Hulu. There is a gas fireplace which is Off till Nov . Dark browns, sage walls add a warm feel to the room. The 2 person jacuzzi tub is perfect to soak in. The King size sleigh bed has a down pillow topper, but the mattress is firm, the perfect feel to get lost in at night. The prior to check in emails kepts us up to date with our itinery. The day of, during our car ride in the Staff checked in on our progress which was surprising and refreshing as they wanted us to know about dinner reservations and gave us a number to txt if we had questions or wanted to order anything to our room. We had a couples massage in the spa for 90min. It was the perfect filler for a relaxing day. We highly recommend it, the prices were not bad for a 90min session. The staff opened the back doors to get a little breeze, and to let the natural sounds relax us. When a few other guests roamed near the door they were quicky informed there was massage in session so that it didn't disrupt us. As Fall starts to roll in we were hoping the staff would have a fire and they did not disappoint, we enjoyed warm conversation and even learned a little more about the property. Savannah made every attempt to make our stay special and memorable, same with the rest of the staff. Even with Covid affecting everything they made us smile and feel like family. They were even trying to think of ways to get people out and enjoy the property. If we were to give one critique it would be not having the menu for the meals posted. Although we only had breakfast we were not sure what to expect. My wife can not have sugar so when the food came out most of it she could not eat. Not the staffs fault but had we know we could have stopped them from making it. They did offer an alternative after we informed them, same thing for day two as the sausage had syrup on it, and sugar was on the grapefruit. Again, not the staffs fault, but possibly posting the meal would help to avoid this problem. We would definitely recommend this place for a nice down weekend. Especially in the fall the crisp air and friendly staff made even better.

Very relaxing property. We stayed in the Smith suite in the main house. Had its own balcony with a hot tub. We got dinner( bourbon chicken with all the fixens...Awesome!) N breakfast( homemade mini Belgium waffles, bacon with fresh fruit n yogurt n juices... Sweet!)served in our room. The bed was amazing very comfortable. Never got to try the spa package but when we come back, I will. Great location for the braut festival n close drive to OSR Mansfield. Thanks for a relaxing evening. Till we see you again

Beautiful setting but room needs attention

Reviewed 27 september, 2021

We stayed at Hideaway Country Inn for the weekend after our wedding September 25th. We had stayed there previously and did not hesitate to book again. We booked our stay long in advance of our stay as a part of our wedding preparations. We booked the Tree House room for Saturday and Sunday nights. We were pleased the website described this room as having a complete kitchen for our use. We have dietary restrictions and made them aware of that at the time of booking, so our stay would be worry-free. We paid over $650 to stay for the two nights. We arrived after midnight due to our wedding reception. We set an alarm so we wouldn’t miss 10 am breakfast. At breakfast, we were offered courses entirely outside our dietary requests. My wife, who must follow her diet strictly, was only able to eat the two eggs and nothing else. As a result, she was still hungry after breakfast. We decided we would make use of our full kitchen to supplement. Unfortunately, the kitchen contained not a single pot or pan. There weren’t regular drinking glasses, either - only small tea cups. We called the office and they promptly sent us all-aluminum cookware, which we cannot use. So, instead of enjoying a quiet, restful day-after-the-wedding, we spent several hours driving into town in search of decent food to eat - a tough task with dietary restrictions in a small town on Sunday afternoon. Not only was the kitchen unusable without us bringing our own pots and pans, but the built in trash drawer in the kitchen is broken and was nearly impossible to open and close. There are also no kitchen linens, so don’t plan to hand wash any dishes! In the evening, we decided to watch some TV, and discovered that the couch is worn out and the front board of it digs into your legs. We looked up at the corner of the ceiling and saw water stains. Before bed we decided to use the jetted tub. We discovered that there’s no non-slip material at the bottom of the tub, so you have to press your legs against the opposite side to keep yourself from sliding under water. We love the setting and the service they provide, but there’s no way this room is worth nearly $350 per night. We did also pay for a couples massage, which was awesome! (That’s an additional charge over the room charge.). Additionally, at no extra charge, the second morning they brought us a more appropriate breakfast in our room at no extra charge. Kudos for that. However, we wanted to eat our breakfast on the private balcony- one of the big draws of this room - but we were swarmed by yellow jackets and had to go back in the room. We give them 3 stars for not honoring our dietary restrictions from the outset and for a room that needs simple improvements to make it very pleasant.

Great Place

We booked our room before looking at reviews and after reading the reviews I was nervous, but we had a great time! Our room was nice and clean and all of the employees were really nice. If you're looking for a modern hotel, this isn't it and you'll be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a quaint getaway in a unique and peaceful setting, this is a great place. We stayed in the Smith Room and enjoyed it immensely. We wish there had been a light in the hallway outside of our room to make unlocking the door easier, but that is a small thing. We were happy with our overall experience.

DONT GET SCAMMED,

Planned my wedding there for August 2020. I was given a total price that was agreed upon I paid in full the month before my wedding. At check in for our wedding they added on lots of ambiguous charges an required a payment. We were between a rock and a hard place because we were planning on getting married that Weekend. In total they took us for about 500 more than agreed upon. The venue was not as described either... dead flowers all around the property, gardens filled with weeds, branches and debris in the gazebo we were supposed to be married in with broken wicker furniture. They forgot our breakfast room service the day after our wedding also, broken fireplace in our room. What a disappointment for our wedding. The owners refuse To discuss or make any amends to us.
