Beautiful hotel, great big rooms, not expensive, and in a great area of Buenos Aires, you can walk to everywhere. Very good breakfast, lots of restaurants and shops around it too. I would stay there again.

RECOLETA LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN BUENOS AIRES.
Reviewed 15 december, 2019
Further to my recent review of our experience with flying to Buenos Aires with Aerolineas Argentinas from Curitiba,we also had a bad experience regarding the Recoleta Luxury Boutique Hotel in Buenos Aires. I would not recommend anyone to choose this hotel if they plan to visit Buenos Aires because the service is terrible and to use the word 'Luxury' in their name had to be a joke!! The beds are too soft, especially if you have a back problem,we had to ask for new towels and soap every day because the cleaners forget to change them and one of the windows in our room would not close because the lock was broken and I had to stuff a towel into the window frame to stop rainwater from getting in!! The other thing that happened was that they tried to say that I had not paid for the reservation, but you are charged this when you check in so they were told to get lost.( my fiancee speaks Spanish so she wasvery angry about this ) So in summary I would suggest to anyone thinking about staying at the Recoleta Luxury Boutique Hotel in Buenos Aires, don't bother as it is absolutely terrible and we will never visit again.

ELEVATOR LIKE A COFFIN

It's impossible to operate efficiently en hotel with 8 floors with one elevator which capacity is 3 persons with no luggage. The rooms are big, but the hotel needs an urgent refurbishment. The employees are very efficient.

Waste of time

Spent ages searching for a hotel to spend a night in Recoleta prior to transfer to Iguassu. Thought this looked good, as it ticked boxes of being a small hotel and in the right barrio for us. Arrived to be told there was a problem with our booking via booking.com, and they were moving us to another hotel in their chain. They have dumped us in a completely different barrio, where we don’t want to be. It is in the micro centre, which people may like, if you are the sort of person that wants to stay in Leicester Square. Thank goodness we only have one night here. Very disappointed with this so called boutique hotel and also with booking.com. Best to avoid completely, and stick with airbnb, we have been delighted with accommodations in Recoleta previously and also in the TIGRE delta. With Airbnb, you at least get what you ordered.

Far from luxurious..

There were two cockroaches in our room. When we arrived to check in at midnight, all lobby lights were turned off, it was dark. The receptionist at the time let us know that only one elevator was working - it was an old style elevator where you have to close the inside door for it to operate, and it was so small it could only fit one person with luggage. Upon entering into our room, we found a dead cockroach next to the toilet. Seconds later, a live cockroach came running out from a crack in the floor. We called the front desk immediately to ask for a room switch and to our surprise, the receptionist came up with a broom and cleaner to clean the dead roaches. I was so angry at this point. He then proceeded to tell us that there was a huge flying cockroach problem in Buenos Aires and that the hotel was at full capacity (doubtful) so he would have to find us another hotel to stay in, which would take time. At this point, we were tired and frustrated so didn't bother switching. We did however, fact check his claim about a cockroach problem and didn't find anything. We left very early in the morning and checked into another hotel. Advice: Stay away. Ask: I want my money back.
