Good location in Caen, Friendly staff

Reviewed 7 march, 2023

"Well located to everything" easy-to-find standard hotel in Caen, friendly staff, clean rooms, parking was on-street/parking lot but close and doable, Basic room with the usual amenities but got the job done for exploring the town and finding places to eat

Located above Restaurant kitchen, no fresh breakfast

Reviewed 3 september, 2022

Our rooms were located above the kitchen of L'Aromate. It was too hot to sleep with the windows closed. We always had the smell of the kitchen and the garbage was thrown out AT 22.50h. Bread was not fresh

Great location, nice room with balcony in Caen

Reviewed 1 november, 2021

Only stayed for one night before traveling on an early train to Paris. The hotel was fine: clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. The (large) balcony mas a fun bonus, enabling people-watching of the busy area in front of the Hotel. By far the greatest surprise though were the fascinating and beautiful surroundings at night. I climbed around the castle walls, which were accessible to all (bring your flashlight). Also took a nice walk through a pedestrian shopping area alive with young people on a Saturday night, enjoying the interesting lighting on public art and buildings. I wasn't expecting such a fun and interesting night at a hotel I really just booked for convenience. Highly recommended.

Location good

Reviewed 7 october, 2021

The location is good for exploring the town - that’s the best thing about this hotel. Very basic room. We stayed for two night and had booked a room for three. There was no where enough room for three suicases so it was really cramped. The beds were comfortable. There was a kettle and cups for coffee and green tea (only green tea!!). The bathroom was clean but with no fan, the moist stayed on the mirror for a very long time. No aircondition, so we had to sleep with an open window - and it was really noisy outside. We were woken up by people shouting several times at the middle of the night, and the sweeper cars cleaning the streets made a lot of noise at about 5:30… We booked through hotels.com where the information told us there was parking near by at an reduced price when staying at the hotel. This was not true. It was public parking on the streets where you had to buy a new ticket every two hours from 09:30 to 19:00. Not at all practical and turned out to be rather expensive compare to other places. The elevator was tiny. Just room for one person and a suitcase - and the stops were between floors, so you had to carry your luggage one staircase up or down anyhow.

Good location

Reviewed 15 august, 2020

We staying for 3 nights. Rooms were tiny and no airco for the hot weather. The room offered the minimum and nothing more (amenities/mini fridge). For us no problem. Street parking took a few takes but worked out in the end. The receptionist told us that there is free parking throughout the city till Sept 2020 so that was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has a great location close to many fun bars, restaurants the castle so would recommend it for a short stay.
