The Value and Location are Hotel's Strongest Assets

Nice hotel located in the upscale Granada neighborhood. The room was comfortable and basic. Located within walking distance to many of the cities tourist attractions. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I had no complaints during my stay and would stay for the same price. The hotel needed a renovation and refurbishment 10 years ago. Now I think it's hopeless. They put is in a windowless room, probably the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. The lamp next to the bed had no lightbulb, so all we had was an aggressive lamp on the ceiling (as there was no natural light). The whole place is just beyond depressing. Better stay in the Ibis nearby. Two stars because the staff seemed nice.

It's a hotel just to go to sleep, it's located in a good place near to a lot of things. The bed is a bit hard, but it's convenient. Breakfast was good, and the attention was perfect, very kind people. I was on a pleasure trip with my husband and things went well. It's near to good restaurants so it's nice to walk around.
All crash because of the reception girl

Some room as ok, some are not at all, specially the ones in front of the street, they are too old and too small. It's a big avenue and too noisy. Grasses should be thicker to reduce the noise, but this is not the big problem. There is some problem with the reception lady, she just doesn't have any will to help you, like if she would be the one doing a favor to you. She showed us a ok bedroom, but when we did the reservation, she gave us another worst one. We complaied and she said "this is what you get for reserving by TripAdvisor". Later on the Hot water was out and she offered us a hot bucket of water. Then came the noise problem. Breakfast was also OK, and the only real advantage to be there is the parking lot. It was a terrible experience and only thanks to the manager that moved us to another better hotel with cheaper fare that we felt the problem was solved. While that reception lady is there we don't recomment anyone to visit the hotel, no matter how cheap.
Pretty Good ... but not 'Great'

It is difficult to review hotels in Colombia because of the different standards we each have of hotels So... If you want a hotel that is really close to the nightlife but a little removed from the chaos ... this is it! Bed are firm and and the rooms facing the front of the hotel are a nice size. I asked to be changed because I am somewhat claustrophobic and the inner have no windows. If you as for a room change because you feel cramped they will change... If you book through 'booking.com' you will get a good rate. I was able to get a better rate by booking through this service than by booking directly at the desk... as a matter of fact, the clerk that was there kindly suggested it. You are one street down from 'la sexta' and one street up from some incredibly fine restaurants. Barrio Granada is relatively safe... you just have to be mindful of your surroundings... The cons: WIFI!!! Barely go a signal in the room ... and was down most of the time.... the upload speed was ridiculously slow... I think that in this day and age the wifi should be fast enough and good enough to be part of a room rental, specially if you are traveling on business. Also, hotels should not be making excuses for such services not working well... That is of course my opinion and... However, i think that if I would stay in Granada, the 'Granada Real Hotel' would be one of my first choices.
