More about the hotel
Decent prices, friendly staff, but rooms and bed need revamped
Staff was very friendly but the rooms need updated. The bed was absolutely terrible, you sank in so far. The bed was long overdue for replacement. The room was very stuffy though the HVAC unit was set at 70* and kept running. The bathroom had loose plaster and tile, the drain cap kept popping off on the tub. The room needed maintenance and the beds need replaced. I slept so horrible the first 2 night that I checked out and went to another hotel, where I slept like a baby the last 2 night I was in town. Wish I would've paid the extra and stayed in the other hotel to begin with.
DOn't hesitate to Stay
Very friendly and warm reception at check-in. Rooms are comfy, clean and have ample space for a one or more night stay. Very comfortable staying there and it has always been quiet. What's better is that Starbucks is right across the street and I can get a latte before heading to the woods.
Nice place but pricing complaints
This Wyndham is the cleanest and possibly the nicest I have stayed in.. breakfast was great, new carpet looks great and the lobby is nice. Room was perfect. TWO ISSUES: 1). I called and was told the price was $56 but I didn’t get a reservation because their website said $47. I arrived to be told the minimum price was $58. I showed the website screenshot and he refused to accept it. 2) I was told the pool was open but when I arrived I was told it was down for repairs :-( NOTE: a young guy arrived while I was at the front desk with a coupon for a hot tub room for $65 and the night manager refused to take it. Cambridge is a beautiful area with rock outcrops and plenty of flowering trees this time of year.. April is even better. BTW: gas was cheap
Good value for the price
I needed a place to stay for one night on my way to Cincinnati. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The clerk at check in was personable. Breakfast had hot food options. I would definitely consider staying there again if I was passing through the area.
Dangerous Stay away!!!
Stayed there last night horrible staff very uneasy were we’re just shy of stripped search by the hotel manager when attempting to access the pool then later that night realized the safety latches didn’t work in the room when one of my 2yr old twins was able to open the door and exit only to be chased and screamed at by the hotel manager. Brought the safety concerns to the attention of the hotel manager and he then said we were trespassing and called the police. I’ve since called Wyndham, hotels.com, and have at best been offered a 25 dollar coupon lol
