NYX HOTEL CANCUN

Las bebidas son maravillosas e Eddy es perfecto, excellente!! Los drinks son muy ricos. The cocktails are fantastic, Eddy is an excellent bartender, very funny and friendly. I highly recommend to stay in the bar with him serving.

My husband and I stayed at NYX for a long weekend birthday trip and we had an amazing time! The staff was super nice and accommodating. Eddy at the pool bar was amazing! He was very friendly and provided fast and delicious drinks, not to mention conversation and entertainment!! We made it a point to stop by to see him even if we had other plans for the day. I also took a yoga class on the terrace with Christian on my birthday. I’m a yoga teacher myself, so it was definitely a beginner/basic level class, but that’s often what you want on vacation. He was very sweet and the setting was breathtaking. The nighttime/lobby bartenders were also awesome, I believe one of their names was Fredrico. The food was pretty good as well; definitely not the best I’ve ever had, but as far as all inclusive resorts go, some of the better food I’ve had, and they did a good job of mixing it up/providing variety. The Tapinyaki (hibachi) place was really good! The resort also has a great beachfront and is only about a 20 minute walk to the “downtown” area of the resort district. Overall, we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend staying at the NYX resort. Go see Eddy!

We just came back from staying with the NYX Cancun for our second time while getting some dental work done for my mom. I have to say this trip wasn’t quite as impressive as our first trip based on the room itself, since the first trip we were in the newer building (nearer to road) and this trip we were in the older building (nearer to ocean). Our room was HUGE but obviously older and needed some upkeep this trip. What hasn’t changed is the AMAZING staff employed at NYX. I couldn’t believe we were last here six months ago and MOST of the staff remembered our names and even those who didn’t remember our exact names recognized us. One of our most favorite employees since our first day has been Herbierto with the bell staff, who from our first moment on the property has made us feel like his welcomed personal guests. All the staff has always been very helpful but Herbierto always seemed to go out of his way to ensure we what everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. Our other favorites were Eddie who worked at the pool bar most days and was so friendly and quick with service, and Ruben who worked both the breakfast area and the beach service and always makes sure to remember names and say hello. At the pool there is also Gus, who runs entertainment and is so friendly and tons of fun. Definitely get to know him! The front desk staff was also consistently friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything at all, and having my laundry done is what I consider the epitome of spoiling myself and the laundry service at NYX is top rate! Clothes were perfect and smelled so fresh and clean, delivered in a timely manner back to our room. Last but *certainly* not least is Fico, who is the mixologist at the lobby bar in the evenings and who is hands down one of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of drinking with. Most bartenders hate for customers to say “surprise me” but Fico nodded and brought an amazing new creation to me every time, even taking liquors I usually hate and making a drink I couldn’t get enough of. On our first trip on a slow night he even chatted with us and educated us to the history and difference in quality of tequilas which was interesting. The main dining room food is always good, but eating there every single night can get a bit boring if you’re on property more than 5 nights (our trips were ten days each to allow time for dental work). Luckily there are two specialty restaurants on site, Chianti (Italian) and a hibachi restaurant. Both are amazing! You do need to make reservations between 11-1 each day to dine in the specialty restaurants, but they are included in the all inclusive packages (unless you choose one of the upgraded entrees or alcoholic drinks, which are marked with their up-charge). While I don’t anticipate another trip to Cancun in the very near future (hopefully the dental work is done for now!), if I am ever planning that I will be sure to check NYX out for my accommodation. I was very happy to stay in NYX hotel, in a room 841 with my private balcony and fantastic ocean view. The hotel is clean and safe to stay in; front desk is super professional (special thanx to Valiaria who helped me to get a room of my dream); all-inclusive option was chosen, and I did not regret: 4 restaurants with an excellent choice of food: Thank you Isandro, Joel, Azael, Carlos from The Deck and The Lobby restaurants and many others whose names I just do not remember! Japanese restaurant Umami was super great with their fire show and also the sushi bar, thank you chef Victor and waitress Chutima, and also Roni, Anayelli and Ernesto, you are doing great job! Chianti Italian restaurant is nice, thank you Juan to be my waiter! Hotel organized my transfer from and to the airport; also covid testing was organized by front desk, the doctor parked at the hotel and tested me, thank god negative. There were 2 TVs in the room, fridge, coffee machine, safe, hair dryer, magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The room was cleaned daily, unless I did not want it. Thank you Amalia and other ladies for keeping my room clean! The beach was well maintained, barely any seaweeds. Entertainment was great at the pool area, and the pool bar full of happy people. I walked a lot along the beach and also along the streets: there are 2 malls to the left of the hotel: La Isla and Kukulkan with a food store who needs it. There is also Plaza Forum to the right (25 minutes slow walk) but I did not like that area. Everybody is wearing masks, and hand sanitizers is a must everywhere. Sleep was ok, there is a loud hotel nearby, but I was ok with that. I felt very safe there; and if I return back I'd stay in NYX for sure.

Had a lovely stay. Also they have regular live bands playing really good music in the lobby. Most of the staff is very nice, at the pool bar especially Eddy and Laura. Some rooms can be a bit loud but in my view not too extreme.
