A nightmare sold as a dream

booked this hotel on hotels.com ,the images on hotels.com did not reflect what was given to my family,it was dirty, broken into, unsafe, the safe inoperable, the key for the room was to a single deadbolt while the other rooms had two . I refused this room as it was unsafe , unsanitary, uninhabitable, immediately requesting a refund from the hotel , the manager claimed I was to seek my refund from hotels.com & hotels.com is holding my refund claiming the hotel is holding my funds . I HAD TO walk with all my luggage in a foreign company to find a suitable hotel with my family & pay another hotel for a two weeks stay , had I not had the funds me and my family would have to sought a loan or go to the embassy , what happened from both hotels.com & the salvia is just not right . I have been attempting to be reimbursed my money that was not used towards the services I paid for over a month , have spoken to over 10 customer service representatives each one telling me to wait 72 hours . This is not right , I called hotels.com immediately upon receiving a new room at the “ Krystal” which was not what I originally intended . The salvia & hotels.com keep giving me the run around , so LET THIS BE A WARNING TO YOU ALL .
If over 25, keep looking

This isn’t a peaceful, relaxing location despite the best effort of the hotel management. The location is 50 meters away from the loudest nightclub in Cancun and the noise is inescapable. No smoke or CO detectors in our room. Staff very kind
Great place to stay!

We spent 3 weeks in Salvia apartments and really enjoyed it very much. You literally walk outside onto the beach. Could not be more accessible. Staff were really friendly and considerate. Walking distance to shops restaurants and clubs. The clubs next door do sometimes make a noise but it did not really bother us. Facilities were average but more than adequate but well worth the price. We loved the amazing view, long walks on the beach and cocktails by the pool. I prefer to cook because my family is fussy and a great supermarket just down the road. The kitchen was very functional. Really enjoyed our stay at Salvia!!
Amazing views, room a little tired

We stayed here for 2 nights in December. Our unit was on the first floor (really the second floor), facing the beach. The balcony was perfect, the view was absolutely outstanding. The interior of the unit was completely servicable, but could use some updating. There weren't nearly enough outlets to charge our various devices (I think only 3 in the whole room, including one which was kind of falling out of the wall). The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was not good at all, in shower or toilet. The staff was very nice and helpful, we arrived early and they locked up our bags so we could go out for lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. There seemed to be a restaurant on the other side of the pool deck, but we didn't eat there. This area of Cancun is quite loud and tacky. We only stayed there because we wanted to be close to 360 Surf School. At around $115 a night, we felt we paid a fair price for such a great view.
Great Beach View

The studio that I stayed in was very clean, modern and adequately furnished. The balcony views were every bit as good as advertised. I arrived late in the afternoon the day before hurricane Zeta made landfall. Because of this, I was unable to use the pool area as it had a lot of sand in it from the storm. I was also unable to access the beach from the lobby area. There are 2 elevators, but one seemed to be stuck at the PH level for the duration of my stay. The beach is fantastic and is perfect for long strolls the immediate area around the condos is a tacky party zone with loud music and and an abundance of hawkers.
