Not as it appears
Not a very nice location. Homeless people around the area. Apartment (105) dark and dreary. Certainly nothing like profile picture. Not exactly hotel facilities. Restaurant very basic. Breakfast limited and not very good quality. Would I stay here again? No way!
Bad experience
First of all ... it needs maintenance as the bathtub is disconnected and have old furniture now , bad TV quality , bad room service , bad breakfast , we asked to cancel and refund the breakfast fees but they declined , the only good things are the staff and location which is excellent for all .
AVOID!!! Canceled stay due to atrocious service!
Ended up canceling my stay due to atrocious service and business practice! Found a rate on booking.com and called hotel to see if they would match it. Manager Assen said he would if I sent a screenshot of the rate, which I did. I immediately called back to confirm he received it and made the booking but he was busy. Fifteen minutes later he emailed back to say the rate was now 30% higher than I found even though the same types and numbers of room availability was showing! Conveniently they changed the rate on booking.com I assume, to force me to book their new higher rate! I found this unacceptable and unethical seeing he said he would match the rate if I could send him a screenshot which I did! I decided to cancel my stay as they obviously don’t care about customer service.
If hell was a hotel
Checking into the hotel is an absolute nightmare. It is not the type of place that you would want to be in. There was lack of communication between the hotel and the booking agent. The welcome might as well be a farewell. It takes ages to get hot water in the shower. You would image that one would not have to run the shower for too long in order to get hot water given the water restrictions in the city. Let’s not get started on the breakfast. The cutlery is dirty and still has pieces of food stuck on it. The coffee is ice cold and the general mood of the hotel leaves little to be desired.
NO SECURITY DEPOSIT REIMBURSEMENT
NO SECURITY DEPOSIT REIMBURSEMENT . The hotel requires a security deposit of 1000 rands with a credit card to be reimbursed during checkout. In our case, this reimbursement never happened, even though we did not provide any damage to the facility. It was said that the reimbursement would take 4 to 5 days. We contacted the booking service website to try to solve the problem.
