The hotel is a good one as a transit for backpackers. The rest is 3*. However, it is located close to animated areas, so it is convenient for a little bit of nightlife. If I were to climb Cerro Aconcagua again, I could come here again.

Nice Find

Great place for the following reasons: 1. Friendly and helpful front desk 2. Large and bountiful breakfast 3. Room was large with updated bathroom 4. Quiet at night 5. A feeling of elegance - even though it’s an old hotel. Entire hotel is spotless. 6. Great location - close to beaches and restaurants, all easily walkable 7. We’d definitely return if we come back to Sestri Levante.

Not the best Mendoza can offer

Reviewed 31 october, 2016

We stayed here for one night during our road trip. We didn't like the hotel upon entrance. The hotel is meant to be "vintage/historical" but that doesn't mean it has to have old dirty carpet and furniture. Everything is dated! They probably haven't changed anything since if first opened 60 years ago. I don't get allergies from dust often but here I did. The carpets were old! And the bathrooms were old as well. The hair dyer is older then my grandma. All the staff were charming but they are set in their ways. We had to leave our room key at the front door if we wanted to leave which was old school for us. The hallways smelled of smoke. Breakfast was poor. Internet didn't work. Location and parking is the best thing the hotel can offer. It was way too expensive for what they had to offer. We payed $140 AUD.

Rude Staff, Dated and Disgusting Property

Reviewed 23 june, 2015

I stayed here and was horribly disappointed. The staff did not speak English and were rude to me. For example, in the morning they bothered me while I was eating breakfast to make sure that I was actually a guest (not only was this insulting and felt invasive, but their breakfast wasn't that great, like I would even bother going in there to freeload off of it.) When I used the pool, they bothered me again to yell at me in Spanish about the towel I was using. Even when I checked in they were rude to me. They could not find my hotels.com reservation and charged me less than the advertised rate on Hotels.com. After I paid and was in my room, they demanded I paid the difference in rate after they finally managed to find the reservation - hours later. The room was unbelievable loud with street noise and smelled mildewy. Everything was outdated, and the pool smelled like rotten eggs. The elevator was also creepy and seemed dangerous. This was my first hotel stay in Argentina, so I thought maybe my expectations were too high. However, after going elsewhere in Argentina, I realize that this hotel was just horrible and not the norm. I had the sense that they were rude to me because I was an unaccompanied woman, so I would definitely not recommend this hotel to solo female travelers (or really anyone) Terrible experience, I wish I had stayed somewhere else.

Good well located hotel

Stayed here en route to climb Aconcagua. Room OK. Staff good and very helpful. A little weird that that A/C is controlled from the front desk but not a major issue. Great location, very central with loads of good restaurants close by.
