This hotel was absolutely amazing! From the check in process to the communication of the staff. My husband and I were going to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I asked the hotel manager before hand if they had any complimentary upgrades upon arrival we were greeted with the great news that we would be upgraded to a more spacious room and we were greeted with a welcome drink of our choice. The food was awesome! The location was great! The hotel in itself is absolutely beautiful. The whole vibe of the place was awesome. The bed was so comfortable! At night it was a tad bit loud outside only because the hotel is literally located in the middle of everything. But it was ok! We still enjoyed our time! The staff was superb! They were so attentive to your every need. Kathleen at the front desk was so great with us! And Sheik the hotel manager is absolutely amazing ! He is really caring and so attentive! I love this place.
Wonderful Accommodations & Service

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 8 nights! We stayed in the smallest of the rooms, but had a wonderful time and enjoyed all parts of the hotel. We did not search out an alternative breakfast place, as the breakfasts were tasty, thoughtfully prepared and filling. I've never stayed in a hotel with better service. Our rooms were attended to at least twice a day, we were always greeted by Andres, Sheik or one of the lovely ladies in the front lobby. Excellent service in a clean and beautiful space with great little touches. I highly recommend this hotel in the center of 'tourist ground zero'. They even have soundproofed rooms so if you like your sleep you don't' get bothered by the numerous clubs in the area (7 days a week). Look no further.

My sons and I spent three nights here for a wedding. Wonderful hotel in a central location. Sheik and his team went out of their way to make sure we all had a unforgettable stay. Food was delicious and service was over the top. Will stay here again if I’m back in Cartagena.
Best hotel in Cartagena

This is my fourth or fifth time coming to Cartagena, and I can say that after trying so many other hotels, this one is the best of the Walled City. The service of Andres and Javier was exceptional, and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The food wow! So so good, it’s rare to find good hotel food, but this one was a joy even to get the breakfast every morning. If decide to stay in the walled city don't expect it to be quiet, it's one of the busiest zones in the city BUT if you’re used to loud noises then I recommend a room with the balcony facing the streets. At least that’s what we did, and it was so fun to drink a cup of coffee and chill on the terrace in the mornings. The quality of the room was outstanding, and it’s like a modern Art Deco or PreColombino (that’s what they call it here) so dreamy. I prefer cold weather and fewer beaches. We come to Cartagena because we have family here, but this hotel made me want to come back, and it will be one of my trusted stays for life. Thank you so much again, Andres and Javier!!! PS: Andres gives THE BEST restaurant recommendations.
Excellent service but not a 5 star rating

An Honest Review Let me first start off by saying that manager Sheik went over and beyond, By messaging me on WhatsApp before I arrive to arrange Covid test and tour of the Rosario islands and shuttle and etc , And while I was there they got me medication when I was sick or Band-Aids for my blisters and he even walked with me to the port to make sure I found the right boat for my day excursion. Even checked on me to make sure i made to my flight. He basically did all he possibly can but there were things about the hotel that were out of his hands and I think you should read this review. Pros: Location is central Rooms are in large and bathroom spacious and new and very nice service is great food was also very good Cons : The rooms facing the main street are very loud on weekends and it was difficult for me to sleep till about 2 AM when their clubs closed, and I live in a major metropolitan area so I am used to ambulance and noise You do not have control over the temperature in the room and you have to call the front desk to adjust the temperature up or down, which is annoying. once during the night I tried to call the front desk and since they don’t speak English I was not able to communicate to them to make the room cooler. Again the manager said I can text him but I didn’t want to text him at 2 AM. The pool is very small and it only has two chairs for lying down and I basically was only able to use the pool only once during a five day stay the rest of the time there wasn’t a single empty chair, also with Covid the chairs need to be reserved beforehand and basically only one room at a time can we use the pool, so one couple from 30 rooms can use it. Besides the manager and one other person the staff do not speak English and communication is very difficult luckily I was able to text the manager but if he wasn’t there communication with though All bills and invoices are in Spanish and impossible to understand which is apparently typical for Cartagena ?!
