Horrible Experience
Horrible hotel! The manger Archie is rude, hung up the phone on me, and was not supportive to me as a guest in any way! Staff is not knowledgeable on hotel policy and rooms are not being cleaned whatsoever! I paid for a room over the phone then arrived in person to check into the room, and then the gentleman working the front desk tells me that they don't take discover card...but failed to ever mention this to me over the phone. Sucks because that's the only credit card I planned on using for my trip. I was now forced to pay with a card I had no intention on suing. I was then placed into one room which had dog food scattered all over the bathroom floor and dog hair all over the carpet and bed. I quickly requested the gentleman at the front desk to change my room for another. He then runs to the room, checks it, and comes back to tell me that this room is clean. I take my key and go to the room only to find a half eaten Wendy's cheeseburger under the bed. I then had enough, I packed up my things and left. I will be filing a complaint to the corporate office on behalf of manager Archie and the lack on cleanliness of this franchise location. They have no means being in business and a health inspector needs to get here ASAP!!!
Red Roof Inn Woodbridge is a very good example of a very bad hotel.
Room was dust central, dust had settled everywhere. Under the bed it was filthy with dirt. Bed sheets probably never were washed or ironed since they dirty and all wrinkled (picture attached). This is especially disappointing in the worrying times of Coronavirus circulating everywhere. Therefore I asked the staff to change the room on which they replied rudely that this room is already has been assigned to us and cannot be changed. Even though we were told that they won't refund our money we decided to change the hotel anyway.
Overnight stay
When we got to the hotel the man at the front next, Prem, was very helpful. We got up to our room and it looked like the sheets hadn’t been cleaned so I called the front desk. Prem immediately got us a new room and he got us new towels as well! Prem was very helpful and I appreciate his hard work!
Would stay again
The staff was friendly, price was right. Room clean, shuttle to the cruise port ran in a timely manner. Breakfast in the morning was nice and got the bonus of being able to park our vehicle here while away on our cruise. Would stay again.
HOLIDAY INN IN NAME ONLY
This place is not a true Holiday Inn, it is a motel not hotel. No elevator, no restaurant, no nothing. Room is good and bed is clean and comfy which is all I needed. For something to eat I had to get back in my car and search the area and only found a McDonalds.
