A kingly experience in the popular seaside resort of Cascais, this elegant luxury hotel and former residence of King Humberto II of Italy is situated in a spectacular frontline with fantastic views out to the open Atlantic Ocean. Estoril Casino, the largest casino of Europe, and the castle of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are within easy reach. Lisbon is just a short drive away.

Managing a 5-star hotel as if it were a Holiday Inn. Experience ruined.

No restaurant was open. Room service wasnt available. Made us go to a NYE buffet, but were kicked out after 15 minutes of being there because employees wanted to leave. We chose this hotel so as to enjoy the pool and garden but these were closed and no one warned us upon booking! Spa was terrible: half the amenities weren't operational and water was extremely cold. No hot jacuzzi. Tried providing constructive ciriticism on site, but manager was absent, and we were told nobody was appointed to replace him. Employees seemed lost and didnt know whom was in charge. Called the next day to provide feedback, manager didnt take the call, didnt ask for contacts to call back. Front desk wasnt bothered either. Several others aspects were underperforming as well. Rooms and buildings are very good though. Managing a 5-star hotel as if it were a Holiday Inn. Experience ruined.
Great service and a fantastic setting.

Fantastic stay here as part of a race weekend at Estoril. Wonderful service, beautiful rooms and a very welcoming atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the salt water pool and the easy access to Cascais town. The park across the road I’d also worth a visit - a hidden gem! Would definitely stay again.

I spent 3 nights in this beautiful Hotel and I received a very warm welcome . The Staff was very efficient and fullfilling avery single reques. The car valet service + room service always on line . Excellant variety of food during the breakfast time.

Rooms are nice and well equipped, bed is huge.staff friendly. Maybe they should start serving breakfast earlier, 08:00 is a bit late if you have something to do in the morning. The price/quality rate is very good, but there are some small details that show that the rooms need a little maintenance (painting on the closets, bathroom door etc
An aging facility in an outstanding, historical location

Hotel needs renovation. Beds, rugs and upholstery don’t meet the standards of a modern 5* hotel. Gourmet restaurant was closed, terrace restaurant was lacking variety. Front office was often arrogant and un effective. Air conditionning took 2 days to get fixed. Sauna was closed. Breakfast was superb and personel of the breakfast room was very friendly. The same applies to wellness area. The hotel could be a real landmark if emphasis would be put on its exceptional history (residence of the last King of Italy in exile) combined with urgent and critical investments.
