The room was little and with a view on the terrace where the engines of the air condition are placed. I have been impressed by how much the employess incharged of the breakfast were impolite. Also the breakfast have been very poor for quantity and quality.

The buss from Grosetto stpped 2 minutes from the hotel. 5 min to walk into the old town which is very lively and busy in the evening and empty during the day. 10 minutes to the beach on either side of the river. We tried both public and private beach. Both beaches where nice and the water so clear and clean. The Hotell was nice.it is and older hotel. The staff where very nice and helpful. The breakfast was ok .

Great staff in fun seaside town

As you'll see in other reviews - this hotel feels a little dated. It's not the Four Seasons... but the staff and the location are great. They were very helpful with beach towels and directions and anything we needed, including help with a shirt that was left behind. The room comes with breakfast, and in the summer we found also with either lunch or dinner. Didn't realize that when we booked, but the food was good. It's right in the heart of a fun, real Italian beach town with very few foreigners around.

nice hotel

This hotel is very well located, near the city centre. It's an older hotel, that could use use a big touch of renovation/modernisation, but it's very clean, and staff are super friendly. Breakfast is more than OK, they actually have real (good) bread instead of only super sweet cakes you find elsewhere. Airco worked real good (it was almost 38° outside) They have a parking spot at 400m from the hotel. We got to use a bike for free from the hotel. If you are OK with working basic stuff than this hotel is perfect for you. If you are hung on luxury, perfect interiors, ect...then do not go there. I really enjoyed my stay there.

Convenient and comfortable
Opinión escrita el 20 de julio de 2019
Our five-day stay got off to a poor start when we were shown our room, which was fine except that the next door bathroom was right up against the head of our bed and bathroom activities left little to the imagination. But when we asked for a change of room there was no problem at all. Our room on the third floor was quite spacious and quiet. No further complaints. The Hotel staff were absolutely outstanding, the public areas were beautiful, and the breakfast room on the fourth floor was outstanding, as was the breakfast itself (included). Everything from bacon and eggs to all kinds of delicious bread, fresh fruit, cheeses and salami and excellent coffee including your cappucino, espresso and Americano. The hotel is in a very good location, convenient for those who love the beach and equally fine for the rest of us. Many good restaurants in easy reach, and a good 20 minute walk up through the hold town to the castle and medieval churches, and a magnificant view out into the ocean. The hotel also has its own restaurant, which on Friday evenings has an extraordinarily lavish buffet. But beware, this is Italy and the first serving is at 8 p.m.
