After a two-year pause due to the pandemic, I returned to Cuba. A country like many others that is going through a difficult period due to the pandemic. We rediscovered the same kind people who did everything possible to make us feel safe, to have an unforgettable vacation. The beach, the weather, the food, the staff, everything was excellent. We highly recommend this resort!

First place I went to in two years because of covid, I stayed for two weeks from Nov 19-Dec 3 2021. The landscaping is amazing with lots of wildlife around for any nature lover it has lots of birds, little lizards and lots of starfish and crabs. Every staff member I talked too was unbelievably friendly and so helpful. The entertainment was amazing, loved the dancers and singers, my favourite was the one guitar player when I was there. Food was good, accomodation was wonderful, the beach was unbelievable. Will go back again 10/10 recommend for adults and families. Had a great area for snorkeling and lots of available water sports like kayaks, and paddle boats and mini catamarans. The water on the beach was incredible, beautiful clear blue.

Home again!

Hardly know where to begin as everything was just absolutely over the top fabulous!! This was my 21st time to Cuba (always at a different resort) and can say without a doubt, that the Iberostar Ensenachos has seen me again!! I have never stayed more than once in ANY resort...but absolutely, had to come back to this one!! I was lucky enough to stay at the Coral Level section, where our butlers, Marichal, Yandry, Michel and Roberto were top notch in creating a most memorable stay in this prestigious area. Special thanks to Geysi Otero who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! She is a saint!!!! Also can’t forget Yaquelin, Yordanka and Yailka for taking such good care of my villa! Bartender at the Coral Level...Augustin and Yuniely were brilliant with coming up with drinks that were perfect! As well as Lizzy and Jacqui at the breakfast table…they anticipated what I wanted and served it up in record time! And you have to meet Leniel…the customer service rep…who will also ump up your holiday as he is very accommodating and super funny! First off, the beach is absolutely breathtaking!! The water was so crystal clear you could see your toes on the sand and even in areas where one could not stand, you could still see the ocean floor…and all the fish!! It was two weeks of pure sunshine and fantastic weather! Be sure to walk the entire beach where at the end near the canal, you will explore the ‘sunken ship’ along with starfish, sea cucumbers, conch, and lots of funny looking crabs! Favourite ‘mascot’ red snapper was a very friendly social fish “Don Juan” as we named him, was a daily visitor waiting for tidbits of food from the tourists (apparently his favourite is hamburgers!! Bananas are a no go with this Pablo!) And also was very welcoming for a little pat!! He usually had his entourage of three other littler versions of himself along…plus many needle nosed fish and many others of which I have no clue what they were lol! The beach bar was on par without ever having to wait for a refreshing drink…with great beach/bar service by Eduardo, Yansel, Damary and Camilo!! They remembered our choice of drink each and every time from the first!! Also great service in the beach restaurant from Alexander, Rogelio and many more that I can’t remember! Oh…and obtaining a palapa was a breeze with the great assistance of beach attendant Salvador and Juan Carlos!! Never went without one!!...Then the lifeguards…Joel, Leandro…Only thing that I found very disturbing and disappointing, (and quite frankly unacceptable) was they are not supplied with binoculars, nor a first aid kit???? This should be the basic minimum for a lifeguard to have on hand… Not being supplied with them is no fault of theirs, but the Red Cross who are their employers, should absolutely supply them with the basic necessities every lifeguard should have on hand. A great kudos to all the gardeners, landscapers, clean-up crew on the beach and throughout the grounds, as it was very well kept and groomed …the grounds were luscious with many varieties of plants and trees and very well maintained. Also a great Kudos to all the shuttle drivers who were exceptionally patient and accommodating…Thanks to Alexis…who is hysterically funny, Angel….who really is an angel…William, and so many others who made our trip between the Coral Level and the main lobby a hoot each and every time! For sure this will not be my last time here, as I now feel like everyone at IE is part of my Cuban familia!! I will be back for a third time…guaranteed!!

Start with the good stuffs: - Beach - Staff - Coffee - Rhum Bad stuffs: - Missing everything (Ketchup, one choice of beer, no condiments...) - Fruits are not top. Don’t know why - Almost no sea food available. Don’t know why - No mosquito control, they are everywhere and can turn your vacation to hell. - Bed not comfortable except in the village section - General food quality It is an old resort. Personally, I would flat that completely and start over with a real architect. Whit this kind of beaches you can’t waste it with the current installation.
