Stayed here enroute from NC to the Poconos for our anniversary! Comfy beds, quiet even with being close to I-81, we were on the opposite side. Excellent young man at the front desk. We stayed Monday, 7/5 and were having trouble finding anywhere to get dinner. He was so helpful and even called a a restaurant I could not get to answer.
Very minimal continental breakfast. Woman at front desk in AM came and apologized as they were converting over to their usual breakfast service pre-Covid the next morning so the supplies they had been using were low. We managed to find something to eat but appreciated her coming to tell us.
Had a great nights sleep, nice and cozy with great AC!!
Just An Okay Stay

We stopped here twice coming and going from our destination, and so we were given Room 204, which is a two bed standard room. On our 2nd Room we were given a room that was already occupied with Guest in it when our Key opened up their door, which was a very scary and dangerous thing to have occur to allow such a mix up in Key access to a Room, but to make up for their mistake they gave us Room 317, which was a two Bed Suite, a much bigger room with a mini kitchen area, a bigger Room. Thus I'll tell you a bit about both Rooms.
Room 204, is a noisy Room, facing the Highway, the room has a mini microwave and mini refrigerator that has a small freezer in it, the room has no personal Safe, and has an open closet without a door, the room has a full length Mirror. In Room 204 the Toilet dripped loudly inside the Tank all day. The Faucet would turn Scolding Hot Water on even when the dial is set at the middle towards Cool. The Tub was slippery because the complimentary Shampoo in the dispenser that they give you, named: JR Watkins product, is nice, but has an Oil Base to it so it keeps the Tub to be Slippery. Also, our Tub did not Drain well at all.
Room 317, a two Bed Suite, was a bigger room, with plenty of good space, and it has a small mini kitchen kind of an area, with a mini Refrigerator and mini Microwave and a couple of cabinets and a small sink with a little bit of counter space, and also a Table with 2 Chairs. Otherwise everything else in this Suite was the same as the Standard Room's set up, but this Room was quieter and not facing the Highway but instead facing the Parking Lot.
The Front Desk Personnel were Kind, but they didn't ask about a Customer's stay or anything, they just do their job and are focused in that way.
The Breakfast was lousy and not to be considered at this time, not sure if they will change it back to a "real" Breakfast again, because they were limited on the Breakfast due to the Covid-19 prior restrictions etc....If you stay here be sure to call them and ask if they have returned to their normal nice full hot Breakfast or are they still on a limited version of Breakfast, if that be the case then bring your own Breakfast by going to the Grocery Store or the Doughnut Shop, or decide to Dine Out to Eat Elsewhere at a Restaurant in the area.
The Hotel was Clean, and the Beds were Okay. The Hotel has a Fitness Center and Business Center and Indoor Swimming Pool, and a small area for Guest Complimentary Laundry, and there are beverage and snack Vending Machines. There are a lot of Restaurants near this Hotel, and a couple are walking distance just right out of the Parking Lot. There are also a few Grocery Stores around too, but some of the Grocery Stores and Restaurants close early near 8 pm.
Our Stay was Okay, and it was decent for the price and the area, we would perhaps stay there again if in the area.
Another awesome stay at the HIX Chambersburg

As always the crew at the Holiday Inn Express were outstanding. We received a warm welcome and an already completed check in and key upon walking in the door at 1 am. The front desk staff is always helpful, friendly and courteous. They recognize us, even with a phone call and always take extra steps to make sure our stay is comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are always clean and they make sure that our extra requests are taken care of at every stay. We stay at a lot of different brand hotels and this is our favorite short stay hotel. We have stayed at almost all of the other hotels in this area and the HIX is the best, even among the “newer” hotels. Can’t wait until the pool reopens so that we can relax poolside in the evenings.
Front desk lady raised it one star.

The accommodations are nothing exceptional. The hallway to the elevator is tight and cramped. Elevator is small for a 3 story building. Carpets are far from new. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our one issue was the noise from the adjoining I-81. Just too close. I would recommend a room with an odd number, as those are away from the interstate. Our morning desk clerk was a highlight. She was tasked with preparing our "Covid breakfast." A microwaveable breakfast sandwich, breakfast bars, bananas, and fresh coffee. She was quite pleasant and efficient. She gave us extra creamers as requested, and exchanged my wife's sandwich when we discovered it was the wrong one. She performed her job very well and was a credit to her employer.
Felt safe for an overnight stay

Conveniently located off Rte. 81, the hotel provided a good overnight stay for us. Restaurants and gas stations are nearby. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and recommended a restaurant from which we could order a pizza and have it delivered to our room. Unfortunately with the threat of COVID-19, the hotel couldn't be at its best with a focus on being safe which we appreciated. Masks were worn by employees, and the room sanitized. However, I did bring my own Lysol and wipes as backup. There were plenty of outlets for device charging.
The breakfast area was closed, and To Go bags available. Coffee was served behind the reception desk, and since I wanted decaf, I used the Keurig pot in the room. Additional amenities were closed.
We felt safe in the hotel and would stay there again.
