Thank you, Kevin, for being such an amazing host! Your mother-in-law was also delightful. The thoughtful attention to detail made my stay absolutely lovely. The Berkeley Room was so cozy for one. The bed is beautifully comfortable and your sheets are divine! I loved slipping into my fluffy, soft robe while I enjoyed your breakfast beverages. What a wonderful experience. Yes, when the opportunity presents itself, I will be so happy to visit you again. Bravo, to you, your staff, and your beautiful property. What excellent customer service.!! Wonderful room, but lacks hospitality

My spouse summed it up succinctly, “The room was wonderful. The experience was not.” First, the good. Our second-floor room was lovely. Comfortable bed, nice table, desk, and chairs, comfortable steam heat, practical ceiling fan, and secure wifi. Had it been warmer, we could have sat on the porch, or on the little second floor balcony. The neighborhood was nice, with ordinary folks walking by and a park a block away. Booking was easy, as was the self check-in procedure. The first-floor public rooms were attractive and well-decorated. Now, the disappointing. The Garden Inn was just not welcoming. It certainly was not the experience I expect from a B&B, let alone a motel. In the front entry and dining room (and perhaps other places as well) were large posters proclaiming: “Security Notice: This Area under 24 Hours Live and Recorded Video Surveillance.” (Most B&Bs handle security by making you feel at home, not by making you feel like you’re in a high-crime area.) Walking into the dining room was surreal, with multiple notices that the refrigerator and freezer were locked outside of breakfast hours. Just lock the fridge if you must, folks, but don’t make us feel like potential criminals! We ran into our hostess several times, who made it clear she didn’t want us going into the public spaces on the 1st floor other than the dining room (why then are they open and decorated?) and hovered over my spouse while he was trying to get a cup of coffee. I understand that COVID protocols changed how many places did business, and that inns want to keep costs down, but the breakfast offerings were more like walking into a convenience store — prepackaged frozen breakfasts of various ilks, Cherios in boxes, peanut-butter cheese crackers, pudding cups, take-out-style plastic wrappers holding plastic utensils and napkins, and styrofoam cups. It wasn’t good, and it made the place seem tawdry. Likewise — given the care lavished on the rooms, couldn’t the Inn have real glasses in the rooms rather than cheap motel-style plastic cups wrapped in plastic wrap? It really detracted from the atmosphere. Finally, whatever is used for cleaning is a heavy fragrance that made my head ache.

A wonderful place to stay--!! A beautiful, elegant, and wonderfully maintained Inn. 100% recommend. The hosts have thought of everything, and our stay could not have been better. The outside patio/sitting area is charming.

My family and I stayed at the Champaign Garden Inn recently and enjoyed it very much. We booked the Santa Barbara and San Francisco rooms. Both rooms are spacious and well furnished. We had some down time on this trip and used the front room and parlor as well. Thank you for the cupboard of games, we used a couple of them. One family member was able to do her online schooling without any troubles. It was nice to be in a home rather than confined to a hotel room. This is my second stay at the Champaign Garden Inn and I enjoyed it just as much on the second visit. We all enjoyed visits by Rolley the newest inn dog.

This place is wonderful, especially if you're looking to get away from the standard hotel room. This place has a lot of character! The owner is wonderful and takes very good care of the property, from making sure it's extremely clean to putting up season decorations. There was also a VERY wide range of items to choose from for Breakfast as well.
