Good Stay, a few Opportunities for Improvement
Reviewed 9 September, 2021
Had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Chandler for 3 nights Aug 31- Sept 3. The hotel is in a great location, central to shopping, restaurants and the freeway. We appreciated the early check in. Had to wait briefly for the room to be ready, was given a key to wait in the Executive Lounge. All the employees from check-in to housekeeping, food and beverage staff were very professional and friendly. There wasn’t a time I walked by the front desk, and I wasn’t greeted.
While the property is showing some wear and tear, the staff take pride. Our King room on the 6th floor was very functional and comfortable. A few complaints: was the size of the shower and the shower pressure. It was very weak. AC was on-point for the hot AZ evenings, no issues with room temperature. There is a large power plant (not sure what kind of plant) directly across the street and the noise carries everywhere, especially in the evening. At night we thought the noise was carrying in the room, it was a large humming noise that could not be blocked by the AC or white noise app. We had a few restless nights. When mentioned to the front desk, we found out, the noise was not from the plant, rather the AC unit. Apparently, there are a few rooms they don’t occupy because of the noise. They updated our profile for a future stay not to put us in any of those rooms. Housekeeping is not available unless you stay greater than 3 or 4 days, but anytime you needed towels, toiletries etc, you can ask. There is an Executive Lounge that is open on the 6th floor. Service is limited to water, soda, a coffee machine, and snacks, but it was much appreciated as most properties have yet to offer similar service.
Gym facilities were clean and adequate, used daily. The pool needs some refurbishment, and replastering, but it was nice to lounge in a padded chair and take a dip.
Finally, no fault of the property, but I must mention my distain for the new Food and Beverage Credit for HH Diamond members. Not a fan, but it is what it is. Hilton is actually making money from its highest tier members where we would always get at least a continental breakfast with no up-charge required. The coffee shop has a great breakfast burrito, and the bar offers a great happy hour which we used our credits on.

Very dated decor. It’s obvious whomever picked out the carpet throughout the hotel doesn’t travel often. Rolling luggage has to be dragged across the carpet because the pile is too thick.
Service is OK. There was a truck parked out front all week were an employee would jump in with someone already behind the wheel and smoke weed. Bartender was friendly.
Next time I’m in Phoenix I’ll try somewhere else.
AC out at our Rental House
Reviewed 23 August, 2021
We had to stay at Hilton due to our AC being out at our Rental House. Hilton took care of us and our 4 pets with no problem. They were able to get us rooms right next door to each other for easy access and no issue with cats and dogs. Took one less worry off my mind with the issues we were having at the time.

Nice hotel but best part is the staff. Feels like my friends are checking me in. Rob, Leslie and Lola . Maintenance isue or need a microwave seems like Dimitri is psychic usually takes less than 10 minutes. And I was on 4th floor. And now full breakfast available very nice thanks to Carl and the 2 cute girls.
