Housekeeping & Front Desk Staff Is Rude And Will Steal Your Property
I stayed at this property for business reasons. This property was horrible. It was alot of construction workers staying here making alot of noise. I had a man across the hall from me extremely rude. He would open his door and keep it open and drink beer and run up and down the hall. I reported him and the offered to move me. When I entered the new room it wash trash on the floor (picture included). I was very uncomfortable after seeing that being that Covid is very active. The people working here definitely need more customer service training. I left my shoes in the rooms. I called the hotel. The front desk lady stated nobody been in the room to clean for 24-48hrs. She would call me back about my shoes. I stated I should be able to go right back in the room to get my property. The lady never called me back. I called her after 48hrs and she stated they don't have my shoes. I told her housekeeping stole my shoes and I was and still very upset about what happened. This property is very unprofessional and I definitely don't recommend this property.
What happened to Customer Service
I am not pleased. As a Marriott worker this establishment is bringing shame to the brand. Instead of WOWing me with excellent service I’m in complete and utter disbelief at how the night staff interacts with the guest. In attempt to not sound like an utter snob I’ll say everything is not bad. The hotel is pretty decent and I love a good balcony. I’ve stayed here on 3 separate occasions and the check in experience is great, as long as you check in before 11. However, if you miss that deadline the night staff is... a little short of pleasant. The first night I checked in after getting off at 11 “I thought I locked the door” was how I was greeted. It wasn’t until after I told them my name that they realized they were expecting me and I arrived before the scheduled time. I was also recognized as an employee so of coarse it became a friendly experience after that. I dismissedThe incident and went to lay down. Next day after a tire explosion I extended my reservation. After working the late shift again I get dropped off. Walk in with my dinner and instead of being welcomed I’m asked “are you delivering food?” To which I reply “no.” I am then questioned “do you have a room?” To which I say “yes” and then asked if I have a key, I believe you’re granted that when you check in. After dropping my stuff I am later told that normally I would not be let into the hotel. Now my attitude is beginning to prevail. Yes you will because I paid For a room. It’s simple! I’m am just disgusted. After a tire blow out and working 14 hours between 2 jobs I deserve a little kindness. Customer service goes a long way. That’s hire you truly WOW YOUR GUEST. Because of this experience i in can’t recommend this hotel. I did not feel welcomed. My experience was NOT PLEASANT. And I will not be back. The Fairfield inn across the street has better service.
Older But Still Good
Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Arrowood - Stay Report - 8/28 to 8/29 Location: The hotel is located on Arrowood Road just east of Exit 3 on I-77. This is about as far south as you can get in the Charlotte area of NC before you hit South Carolina. Nearby are a few other hotels and a number of fast food places including a Sonic, Starbucks and Jack in the Box. Because of the proximity to I-77 you can get around easily but be advised that there's a lot of rush hour traffic in this area. Hotel: A typical suburban early generation Courtyard that's aging semi gracefully. It's a sprawling complex with a parking lot that wraps the whole hotel which at least cuts down on walking. There's a small outdoor pool in the center of the hotel and the typical Pantry area in the lobby. Currently they are serving coffee in the AM and some grab and go snacks. Check In: A friendly agent thanked me for being Titanium and asked if I wanted points or a $10 F&B credit. Room: I had reserved a suite which was actually very nice. The bedroom was separate from the living room which made holding a few meetings easy. The living area had a work area, small kitchen area with fridge (though no coffee maker which was really annoying), there was a decent sized bathroom and a small closet and the bedroom. Noise was not an issue and the wifi worked well. Overall this is a really good value for Charlotte. I'd be back.
Clean property and accommodating front desk staff
First off, our family felt totally fine about staying here during Covid-19. The hotel was very clean and very quiet. Suite was updated, spacious, and had Paul Mitchell toiletries, for those interested in that kind of thing. Also, front desk staff--Lindsey in particular--was kind and very helpful regarding all aspects of our stay. For all of these reasons, we would certainly stay here again.
Weekend getaway
Nice place- very clean and staff is excellent. Outdoor pool looks wonderful and our room had a balcony we could sit on overlooking the courtyard and fire pit. Room looks like it was recently renovated and feels very modern.
