A Fabulons Visit

From the moment we were warmly welcomed by Maureen to our departure six days later, this was an outstanding center for hospitality ... spacious room, attentive staff, wonderful breakfasts, appreciative of Platinum membership, good pool and gym ... an excellent choice for us.

For my first visit to PEI, I really don't know what to expect, but the reviews here are not wrong. Delta Prince Edward is an excellent hotel. The lobby is a bit dated but is spacious and for a regional Canadian city, it has its charm. My check in at the late afternoon went fine and I got upgraded to a nice room with a harborview. The room is typical of a east coast hotel with double doors to keep it warmer. Once you enter, there is a bathroom and a few hooks for jackets, and then there is a "separate" bedroom with a large walk-in closet, which is one of the few things that modern hotels no longer have, and a large desk. Each room has a mini-fridge too. The bed is comfortable and there is a huge window with an excellent view of the harbor. I am impressed with the Internet speed, which is better than most hotels even in major cities and six star hotels. The fitness center and pool are open from 6am to 11pm, and there is a coin laundry ($2.75 per wash and dry cycle and $2 for detergent, but I recommend stopping by the Shopper Drug Mart for cheaper detergent. The machine is HE equipped and you can bring a few of those Tide pods from home too.) My only problem is the lack of changing machine at the laundry room. I don't mind paying but make it easy please. Getting coin changes at front desk is difficult. Since I am on my first stop in Canada, I don't really have many coins, especially most PEI places prefer cashless payments now. There is a Covid-19 protocol now and proof of vaccination is necessary for access to fitness center, Convention center next door and dining at Water's Edge. You must register at the front desk so your key will allow you entry to fitness center. Daily housekeeping as of October is no longer available but you can request additional towels and other items through front desk. I have a three-nights stay so it is not that big of a deal. You can still request daily housekeeping and if it is a long stay, they will automatically clean your room after every 6th night. As a Marriott Bonvoy gold member, I also receive Cow's chocolate as a gift and the upgraded room is a nice gesture. What I really like is the location too, and I can walk to downtown easily, and all the restaurants are within reach. Getting a taxi is also easy if you need to head to the mall or airport. The drivers are friendly here. I was blessed with beautiful weather during my stay so I had a great time here. I felt very safe here despite these Covid times. In conclusion, I highly recommend Delta Prince Edward to every PEI visitor and can't wait to return here again next year.

Excellent experience all around. Outstanding customer service, I was upgraded to a suite facing the harbour (I’m a Bonvoy Gold member), the room was up to date (renovated in 2014) and was clean. I was given some local snacks as a check-in gift. Breakfast at the on site restaurant was excellent. Parking was plentiful, and in a secure underground parkade. The location is excellent right in the centre of Downtown Charlottetown.

The Location of this Hotel is Second to None. Upon Entering very friendly Front Desk Staff. We had booked a Water View Room. Rooms were adjoining overlooking Hillsborough Bay and Marina. PEI Convention Centre is also attached to Hotel.. Parking is underground and is extra over the room cost. Many Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Lovely area for a stroll no matter what time of day. We were spending 4 nights at this location.
