Best night sleep in a motel in years

I don't understand why this brand was developed. The hotel itself is better than some Comfort or Quality Inns, but worse than some, too. Maybe this fits into the small space between Comfort and Quality inns. Maybe the brand is entirely superfluous. I chose this because I was tired and because it had lots of 5 star reviews wherever I was looking (probably choice hotels' own site). The disappointments: breakfast was Super8 quality (though Covid could be to blame for that), some wear and tear in the room, no bathtub, no instructions on how to use the in-room coffee pot (it's a single use pot, which I didn't think of); no AAA/CAA or AARP/senior discounts, at least the night we were there. The good parts: the mattress was very comfortable, very comfortable indeed; 5 firm pillows; the room was spacious; good shower even though we were on the 3rd floor, good bath towels, staff seemed willing to help (answered questions, etc.). The heat was provided by a thermostatically controlled heat pump; it was effective. My wife said it was very quiet. (My hearing is not good, so I can't judge sound pressure levels.) The room layout was unusual, IME. The bathroom was behind a pocket door. The bathroom itself was wide enough for the toilet and the shower, maybe 3'-4' wide and 8' long. The sink is just outside the bathroom. The pocket door locked automatically when it closed, and a non-mechanical person might find themself locked in without being able to unlock the door. We had to push a white button in the middle of the lock while sliding the door open. It took me half a minute to figure it out, but it would stump some people. The layout was strange to me, but I think it contributed to the sense of spaciousness. BUT - overall, after a lifetime using budget (Red Roof Inn, Super8...) motels, I'd say the extra space in the room was very relaxing, and the mattress and pillows were great. If I need a hotel near the Buffalo airport again, I try to stay at this motel. Wi-fi is open, which means it's insecure unless you use a VPN. On my PC, with Edge as the default browser, I could not connect to the 'net, because Edge always jumped in, took control of the connection, and refused to connect to the open network. I changed my default browser to Chrome. That was annoying.
good location and staff

We were greeted promptly by James at the hotel -- he was extremely helpful -- the hotel itself was clean and comfortable -- we asked for a restaurant recommendation (looking for something that wasn't a chain ) - he gave us an excellent location named Dannys

Some of the staff are real good, but the Hotel is really run down. The Hotel is dirty, and in some areas wet, The Breakfast is a joke (COVID), some of the Staff don't want to work there at least one person was fired during our stay due to the fact she was to rude.

Run away! Very dirty, very dated, and rude manager. When I first checked in, see 6 curly hairs on the shower tub. My daughter has allergic skin that get bumps when touches bugs and harsh chemicals. Guess what, she has 4 rashes bumps within 2 hours check in into this hotel. When I told the male manager all these, all he could do is shrug his shoulder, and come back with that this hotel is now fully booked. Gosh, no empathy,. no concern with filth, no wonder this hotel Sleep Inn is in such a run down and dirty stage. We have our summer travel, staying over 10 nights throughout various Marriott and Hilton hotels in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, and Ohio, we never see any such dirty hotel, and my daughter skins never had a rash, until we checked into sleep inn of Buffalo Airport. Stay Away!!!
