Could be better

The price and location was what sold us, which did not disappoint. Free parking and the Crowne Plaza always has the best pillows and beds. Everything else was questionable. The pros at this place is definitely the staff. From the moment we walked in the door they were attentive and had great customer service skills. I would come back just to see them. Each and every one went above and beyond to get what any guest needed. The technology at this hotel is above many I have seen. You can plug your cell phone in anywhere and go to the lobby and see the events of the day. Even with limiting the amount of people in the elevators, there were enough of them and they are fast. The cons are the based on the hotel needing updating. The wallpaper in most areas is peeling. Beautiful wood desks are chipped in rooms. Bathrooms are dated and shower heads need to be cleaned from hard water. During my stay there were three things that were the biggest issues of safety and concern for me. The elevators were dirty and loud. There is no sign when they were last inspected displayed or saying inspection is kept on file anywhere. The other is a picture I am attaching of three appliances and a lamp plugged in to an outlet, which is a fire safety concern. There is a shelf and another outlet five feet away. While sleeping we had a gentleman knock on our door say he had a delivery and open the door with a key. We had the lock on so he couldn’t get in. It looked like he had sheets but he had the wrong room. There should be a better system so this doesn’t happen, nor should any staff be attempting to walk in to a guest room after 9:30 at night.

Great Staff they really tried to help with our request for a cleaner room, however all rooms are the same. This hotel is not up to the standards of a Crown Plaza. You will feel like "motel room built in 1970 and never been touched". Old and dirty and should charge by the hour!!! Hope you get clean sheets and don't wear white socks. Also they have just sold to Hilton chain and will start construction starting in December.

Room was clean, but a bit tired. Was not informed of housekeeping schedule which meant on a two night stay the room was not made up. Dirty towels and shampoos were not replenished which would not have been a problem had we not returned a late hour. When I questioned why the room was not serviced, the front desk replie, “That’s our policy on a multiple night stay.” The concierge further stated had we asked before we left for the day, then the room would have been serviced. We were also told that we should have been told about this at check in. If this is policy, then the consumer should be informed and the policy clearly shown.
Bogus fees and missing fridge

We have booked our 2 IHG free nights at this hotel. During check-in my card was charged for ~$70 and I have asked if this is for incidentals and they confirmed. It was not. When we were checking out I got a receipt with "Accommodation" charge of $30 for each night + taxes totaling to ~$70 for 2 night. When I asked them why I'm being charged on my free night stay they answered: "It is taxes. You still need to pay taxes on your free night stay". "Accommodation" is not taxes and taxes on 0 room rate would be 0. I have contacted IHG and nobody got back to me yet (3 business days have passed). They gave us wrong room number at check-in and for a minute or so we were trying to get into somebody's room. When we got into correct room refrigerator was missing. Room description and pictures are clear that mini refrigerator is included. We were travelling with the toddler and we needed refrigerator. I wouldn't book a hotel without it. So I went back and asked for another room with refrigerator. They said they will bring it to our room. However they didn't give an answer "when". The only thing they said that "it will take some time". I guess it took them more than our entire stay because we never got it. And this is a problem when you are travelling with the kids. We also asked for late checkout and they were not able to tell if they would give it or not until the checkout date and max they could do would be 1 PM. The hotel was "empty" looking on parking lot (probably 20% of spots were occupied) so I'm sure they didn't have any problem with that. It's worth mentioning that I have Platinum status with IHG and I'm wondering how non-members or lower tiers are treated? Do they fight for beds, towels, soap? Smoke detector seemed to be broken. Overall hotel is not very clean and due for renovation. Not the experience I would expect from IHG and Crowne Plaza.

We were in town for a family party. With this review I will tell you we had a fun time and staff were fantastic. Good friendly people. We ate at Elders and food was good. Waitress was hilarious!! We had clean towels and sheets no housekeeping but that's the norm lately. We partied in the lobby by the bar with family and it was great. Now for the bad, hotel needs refurbishing!. Our tv was broken and they had to get us a new one at 10pm at night. The air conditioner was so loud I shut it off. The water takes forever to go down weather it be toilet, sink or tub. If they would give this place a facelift it would be great again. Family had to move there room because toilet did not flush. Proximity to Philly was good and plenty of restaurants and stores close. We had fun you make your own good time staff like I said were great but I would search out another hotel to ln this gets refurbished.
