Amazing service and crew

Reviewed 1 july, 2022

Throughout the whole holiday all the restaurant staff were amazing and attentive. The animation crew were spectacular; always engaging and fun. Many activities during the day to take part in like the water polo snd volleyball. The bar staff were perfect, always so much fun and kind, quick service. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be lucky enough to visit again.

Several issues clouded what would have been a perfect stay…

Reviewed 29 june, 2022

I’ll cut straight to the point… there are some brilliant aspects of this hotel and some not so good areas that require improvement for it to be a 5 star hotel in my view… (2 adults, 3 children (4, and 1YO twins travelling) Issues - 1 - We emailed hotel prior to arrival to request a private taxi transfer requiring 3 baby car seats and for some milk and a kettle to be left in the room for babies night feed as didn’t arrive at hotel until 1am - taxi arrived with only 1 seat so had to wait 30 mins for other seats to arrive and no milk or kettle was left in room as requested which hotel had confirmed via email which was really disappointing. 2 - no arrival drinks - which would have been nice given we had been travelling all day, even a bottle of water would have sufficed! And I would expect this from a 5 star hotel. 3 - arrived at room (ground floor family suite with direct access to swim up sharing pool) to find the aircon wasn’t working and one of the plug sockets actually sparked a flame when we tried to use it - witnessed by security who were trying to help get aircon working. Obviously not an avoidable issue but frustrating when we were all really tired in the early hours of morning. We were provided with only 1 single fan to cover 2 separate rooms and 5 of us and it was boiling! Maintenance attended and fixed next morning. 4 - I requested a clothing airer to dry items 3 times and nothing ever arrived. 5 - I requested a late check out room, which was authorised and told the night before that we could check out at 5pm (we were flying that evening) and signed to pay 100 euro fee for this… I thought great as would help to get babies to sleep for daytime nap prior to long journey home…. Only to receive a phone call from reception at around 12 demanding to know why we hadn’t checked out yet… I was then passed onto Elena on reception who then stated that although we had been told we could have a late check out, we now couldn’t and had to be out by 3pm….! I advised that we wouldn’t be exiting the room until 5pm which is what had been agreed and signed for the previous night with her, and she reluctantly agreed we could stay until 5pm. I was shocked to then have some random staff member in a blue shirt walk straight into our room at around 2.30pm with a confused face about why we were in the room! I was shocked at the apparent lack of communication between staff and the whole situation which was just stressful…. We received no apology, nothing and I found Elena to be rude and abrupt throughout all dealings with her throughout our stay. There was however a lovely chap in a blue suit jacket who works on reception who was really nice, approachable and charming, greeting you always with a smile. 6 - we had booked another return transfer back to the airport… which never turned up and after waiting another 15 mins and knowing we would be late for our flight we ended up jumping on a coach which took us. 7 - Do not expect to get a sunbed by any of the main pools unless you fancy getting up at 6am to reserve a sunlounger…. There was not a single bed free our entire stay and the bed reservation policy is not enforced… people are literally allowed to leave towels on beds and not return all day without having anything removed. If it wasn’t for our own room having private sunloungers we would have been stuffed! 8 - There was an apparent mis-communication regarding your use of the a la carte restaurants during our stay…. We were away for 14 nights and initially advised we could have 1 booking per week…. However following speaking to other guests it became apparent that you could have 3 bookings a week (Asian, Mexican and Veranda). We had responses via WhatsApp (which they use) from 2 different staff regarding this both of which contradicted the situation and finally told us our full allowance, which was frustrating as it meant we lost out on 3 extra days of sit down service meals which we were entitled to again due to clear communication issues from staff! 9 - There tends to only ever be one person serving drinks at the bar at any one time which means you can be waiting a fair amount of time for drinks, especially in the evenings. GOOD THINGS - 1 - the room we booked was a ground floor family suite for 5 people with direct access to private sharing swim up suite… it was incredible. The room size was massive and separated with 2 rooms which each had their own bathroom and toilet faculties! It had 2 personal sun-loungers on the terrace area and was probably one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in (and we’ve been to ALOT of hotels!) 2 - the cleaners worked immensely hard and our room was always cleaned to perfection everyday….! They provided bottles of water and fresh towels daily which was lovely. 3 - the A La Carte restaurants were lovely… the food and staff were amazing and these really were a highlight of our stay. The Asian was our favourite… the staff here seemed to go above and beyond and one of the waitresses, Athena, who we had also seen at other restaurants was amazing…! 4 - the main restaurant offered a large selection of food and the service was really good… we met a fabulous staff member called Panagiota who took the time to engage with our children and requested our full feedback on our holiday experience at the end of our stay. She listened to any issues with concern and went above and beyond to secure us a late check out as a result of issues encountered on our stay - even though this unfortunately unknown to her ended up being jaded due to other staff and communication issues! She was attentive and is a complete asset to this hotel!!!! 5 - the water park is incredible… it caters for everyone’s needs including the babies with a splash water pad section which allows them to crawl around freely exploring the water. The food at the water park is lovely too! 6 - the cocktails were really good, with a good selection of choices for an all inclusive…. The drinks were of good quality and not watered down. 7 - They use a WhatsApp group which you can use to contact customer relations on which was useful! 8 - the hotel were quick to rectify an issue in one of our toilets with a foul smell coming from the drain and also when we couldn’t get into our safe. 9 - we ate daily in the Greek restaurant Elia for breakfast as they served food until 11am. It’s lovely here with a view of the pool and you can reserve your evening buffet meal here too (which we only realised towards the end of the holiday) 10 - the pool areas and beach is lovely. The areas are kept really nice and clean and you can tell that a lot of effort goes into the aesthetics of this hotel. 11 - Nikos and Anna at the lounge bar were lovely and he would sort us out with bottles of milk for the babies every evening… even going off to heat the bottles up before we had even got to the bar when he saw us arriving which was fab :-) I know on the whole this may appear to be a whinging post… but it isn’t meant to be like that. As mentioned above there were some fantastic elements to this hotel and our stay however I think it is only fair to give a full view of both the positives and negatives of our stay. With a bit of work this hotel could be 10/10 and I think it’s always helpful to provide honest constructive feedback both for staff and for future travellers. I also appreciate that this is likely to be the hotels first full season following the set backs from covid…! Overall I would defo recommend this hotel and highly recommend our room type to stay in!!!

Excellent hotel & amazing holiday!!

My family and I stayed here for a week (two adults and two children age 6 and 3) and I have nothing but good things to say! Everything was brilliant! This hotel is the perfect mix of luxury for adults along with things to keep the children occupied- the water park is on site and fantastic! The food is the selling points. There’s so much choice at the buffet restaurant, there is something for everyone. There’s live cooking too, which adds something special. The A la carte restaurants are superb! We booked our reservations on the hotel app when we got there but needed to change them because they clashed with the kids evening entertainment and guest services were so happy to help. The staff work so hard in all areas and go above and beyond! Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so friendly and polite- a real credit to the hotel! I will be recommending this place to all my family and friends and we will certainly be back. Stella Palace, thank you!

Creators of Memories

I almost didn’t attend this family trip due to last-minute reasons, so I can’t believe I almost missed out on the amazing experience. If you have a chance to check out this place, don’t pass up the opportunity. The resort is beautiful and luxurious, with many pools, bars, activities, and areas to explore. The customer service was exceptional from the moment I arrived, and the all-inclusive food and beverages made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The staff is super-friendly, warm, and attentive, offering the finest in Greek hospitality. They go above and beyond to keep their guests smiling and satisfied. Thank you to everyone at Stella Palace for the lovely memories you helped create for me. I’ll be back (?) ******* Pro tips: 🍽️ --➤ Book your dinner reservations far in advance since the specialty restaurants tend to fill up quickly. 💆🏻‍♀️ --➤ Try at least one massage or spa treatment. These people know exactly what they’re doing. 🍹 --➤ Ask Thanasis the bartender to surprise you with a drink and prepare to be impressed by his skills and professionalism. 🌴 --➤ Watch the palm trees reflect on the pool at sunset. ("Time spent in self-reflection is never wasted.") 🙏 --➤ Relax and enjoy the moment. (That's more of a general life tip) 11:11
