Mold on the shower head
Reviewed 1 october, 2021
I thought this hotel would be a step up from the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Jacksonville, but it wasn’t. It looked like it had been refurbished fairly recently, as the bathroom looked more modern than the last hotel I reviewed. When I stepped into the shower in the morning, I noticed pink mold on a portion of the shower head. Fortunately, I found a setting that avoided having water flow out of that area on the shower head. When I told the desk clerk about the mold when checking out, he said he would have it taken care of immediately. In my opinion, it should have been cleaned properly before the room was rented out.

We stayed over one night at the Fairfield Inn. It's nice and close to 95 so it's not out of your way. I felt the area was safe and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, there was enough room in the "large" room for 4 adults. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They had a nice little breakfast downstairs with a nice selection of food. You can make your own waffles and toast bagels and toast. It had fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal. All included with your stay. Good stay!!!

We used this hotel several times while traveling. It has gone down hill in the last few years. Most recently. They failed a guaranteed room reservation that was made three weeks ago. We called to check on our reservation when we were about an hour away. Desk clerk said they had issues and couldn’t accommodate us. He said that they called to inform us but, we didn’t answer. They called our house phone but not the two other cel phone numbers we left. We couldn’t answer our house phone since we were on the road. We later found that they had overbooked the room due to a soccer tournament so, we were out of luck. They did suggest other area hotels. We called and got another room at a different hotel. We haven’t received a bill for the room so, Marriott may have paid it. We are long time Marriott members so, not used to this kind of treatment. This hotel just doesn’t understand how to treat people right
Yuck! Stay somewhere else!

One night stay as we traveled from Florida to upstate NY. At check in I was asked if I was traveling with a pet to which I responded positively. The front desk clerk informed me I would be charged $50 extra. Upon receiving my email bill, I was charged $75. The first floor hallway, especially in front of the elevator was filthy. The floor looked like it hadn’t been washed in a week, at least. Our room had a badly stained couch and ottoman. The frayed carpet was stained too. The bathroom floor had not been washed (droplet spots in front of the toilet) and the overflow drain in the sink had black gunk caked all around it. Overall, it was gross. Certainly not what I expect from Marriott where we exclusively stay when we travel. But not at this stop ever again (we travel this route two times a year). Perhaps there’s a Hilton nearby? I’ll certainly check next year!
Expensive pet fee.

Traveling through, needed a room quick. Advertised as pet friendly. But $75 is quite high for a pet fee. Noise transfer is horrible from people above. Seems to be an older building but renovated. Clean and good customer service from front desk. Average.
