Best place in Chiang Dao
Amazing breakfast, wonderful environmentally friendly roundhouses, best breakfast, lovely host. What else could you wish for? Plus the houses have semi-outdoor showers, which means you're basically taking a shower in nature but with all the privacy. Try and you won't be disappointed!
First visit in 2020
We stayed again at these beautiful roundhouses set in a tropical garden with a wonderful view of Mt Chiang Dao. The owner Maggi spent alot of time ensuring we saw many local attractions. Sadly this may be our last visit as the property is for sale.
Cute and magical 🧙♂️
We loved the stunning views and kind hearted Maggie with her heart on her sleeve ! She really is a joy !! I always find the people make the place and Maggie certainly does ! Great Great views and atmosphere with lovely little friendly animals to enjoy ! Breakfast is AMAZING!!!!! The rooms are decorated so nice and the outdoor shower is so so cool and neat ! If your a bug freak or scared of bugs mabey this would bother you because of the outdoor shower and bathroom, I personally liked seeing what little bug was there in the morning haha Such a great Relaxing stay and I just enjoyed Maggie so much All the best Maggie !
Lovely, unique B&B in beautiful Chiang Dao
Maggie's round houses are a unique and wonderful place to stay. Her large notebook chronicles the amazing construction of these one room plus bathroom houses. They are roomy and comfortable and the outside bathroom area is very cool. The grounds afford a wonderful view of Mt Chiang Dao and the misty mornings are magical. Breakfast is served in her public sitting areas by a pond with lovely flowers and birds. She also has 3 dogs and 3 cats, so animal lovers will appreciate that. The wifi really only works in the common spaces. The surrounding area provides plenty to do with some great restaurants and even craft beer! When walking the roads there are many stray/semi-stray dogs sometimes in groups, so if you are fearful it could be a problem.
Relaxing and interesting too!
Peaceful, relaxing and sustainably built straw bale houses (wow). You are spoilt with your own "roundhouse", an open air bathroom with decent hot water and small touches such as hot water bottles, extra quilts as well as blankets, herbal teas etc etc. Maggi is a gracious host and serves the best breakfast in the garden next to the pond with wonderful views to the Chiang Dao mountain. Taxis can easily be arranged too.
