Not what was advertised
Firstly we booked this accommodation for the swimming pool that was on the main picture (now taken off) as we had been on a very hectic few days and needed a nice leisurely afternoon. The owner laughed and said , its a kids pool and its not full up (it would have been big enough for a dip ) , it was just empty and filthy. Secondly the owner had said he would take us to the bus stop in the morning but for some reason changed his mind, said he had never offered it and said his friend would take us in a tuk tuk for a price. I wouldn't stay here again.
Very nice hotel in Chiang Khong
For us, this was a five-star hotel. One of the best in the price range. Rooms have a nice view over the Mekong and you can enjoy the sunset from the balcony. The owner is very helpfull. We came with the motorbke and found a safe paking there too. WIFI was not only working, it was fast :-)
Very nice accommodation
Nice people, nice room, lovely balcony, nice breakfast. Would stay there again. Upstairs sitting area was lovely to have a few drinks in the evening. Handy to good eating places. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good, cheap and clean.
Good guesthouse, stayed for just one night to take the boat to Luang Prabang. The guesthouse picked us up from the bus stop and was very helpful. Bicycles where available for free. Room was nice, with a basic bathroom with toilet. Breakfast was delicious pancakes :D
Friendly accommodation.
A little bit out of town but free use of bicycles. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Found at the last minute after being disgusted with the accommodation provided by agency. Quiet, just an over enthusiastic cockerel. A simple wooden house with few rooms, rustic, clean, hot shower, air conditioning and /or fan. Good free wifi. Basic breakfast - pancake and banana with tea or coffee. Very simple, good value for Chiang Khong.
