Great hotel in a small town

I was a bit apprehensive when booking this room on line since we have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn and the reviews were mixed. We were very pleased. The room was very clean and the staff friendly. We only stayed two nights and after the first night we went to Dawson’s for breakfast and the staff had not o our cleaned our room but left fresh towels, made the bed and mopped the floors. Every other hotel we stayed in on our cross country road trip did not have “maid” service unless the stay was 5 nights or more! Would definitely recommend
Adequate for Overnight Stays

My wife and I stayed in the Red Roof on both legs of a trip to Colorado. We stayed one night each in late July and early August, 2021. This motel is right on US 287 as it passes through Childress. Our rooms were on the back of the motel and there was no road noise. The motel is an older facility that does not match the usual Red Roof layout. It must have started life under another brand. That said, the rooms were clean and in generally good condition. The back of the motel building looks out onto a farm field. Normally this would be a good thing. It was certainly quiet. However, we arrived just about dark on both nights and were immediately attacked by mosquitos. Several followed us into the rooms and bothered us until we killed them. Room 144 had a noisy HVAC unit. This is a problem I have noted at other Red Roof facilities--innkeepers need to repair or replace them more often. The one in 143 was much quieter. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The breakfast items were OK. I rate inns on how well the innkeepers do with the facilities they have. My impression was that this was a well-run operation.
Clean and neat!

When traveling to Colorado we had to rearrange our stay. Very clean and newly remodeled motel. Front desk staff was friendly and provided a dinner suggestion. This is an older motel that has nice updates. Will stay again if we travel that way. There was also easy parking for our truck and trailer.
Still a great place to stop

this hotel is clean, pet friendly and convenient with great rates. We stop here every year and have never been disappointed. It is a simple hotel, no frills and the personnel is always helpful and courteous.
What a Nice Place to Stay

This motor inn was a nice surprise for us. It is just what we needed for the night on our cross-country trip. The price was reasonable. The room was VERY clean. The front desk clerk, Max, was friendly. Our dog was welcome. Breakfast was still, “to go,” but that will change. It was quiet. As I said, “Just what you need for the night!” Thanks!
