Not up to Marriott standards.

Reviewed 11 june, 2021

Hard to believe this place is a Marriott property. Definitely not up to typical standards of cleanliness. Room smelled of air freshener, and wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls. Desk chair had peeling vinyl upholstery on seat. The entire place looked like it needs a major update.

We loved everything about it. Ronnie at the front desk was fantastic! So welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed, and was so happy to help. He’s excellent at his job. The room had a nice modern look, and a layout that I haven’t really seen before but loved. Wonderful market choices in the lobby as well and I loved the bathtub! We will definitely be adding Courtyard to our list of brands to look for!

Tried A Different Place

Well, we’re back on the road after being locked down. This is the first review of four hotel stays – Clarksville, TN, Texarkana, TX, Houston, TX and Mobile, AL. Some hotels have been using the reopening time to do some refurbishments and the location currently suffers for that reason. Don’t believe the web sites saying they are serving breakfast. There is a big disparity on what they are doing. This is a good hotel. The room was a king room. It had a king-sized bed with a king-sized sofa and two side tables – all on the same wall!!!!!! The result of this was only 6-8 inches between the bed and the in-wall air conditioner. Very very difficult getting into the bed or getting out in a hurry. The sofa size needs to be reduced. There was a lack of light to be able to use the wall mirror in the main room. A single sink room. For the advertised breakfast they had a young lady dishing out watery scrambled reconstituted eggs with micro-waved sausages as the meal was being finished. They tried but certainly didn’t hit the mark.

upon arrival, just ok,, carpets need a good cleaning,, wifi is very slow and will not you on without waiting,, the hairdryer in the room was so dirty I had to wipe it off before I could use it,, with covid and the cleaning that should be involved this was missed. also the carpet is old and should be replaced.. bed is ok, nothing special. Lots of closing of doors in hall way's not real quiet.

Great, Convenient Place, will go back!

The staff at this Courtyard by Marriott are fantastic. Everyone was helpful, friendly and pleasant. I stayed in Room 203, faces teh hotel front, in OCT 2020 (COVID-19 times), so there may have been less occupants during my stay. Pros: Very quiet, not even traffic noise Clean Nice extra-wide parking spots (loved this) Great Wi-Fi signal, and easy to sign in Instant shower hot water Reasonable breakfast rates Cons No hair dryer in room, but was later furnished No pen and paper in room No lotion in bathroom, but was later furnished The elliptical continuously squeaks...every step Outside of hotel control: The traffic on the main nearby road, Wilma Rudolph Blvd...I am from Clarksville originally and that traffic is just always bad. Also at this time (OCT vaccine) the Tennessee COVID-19 mask requirement was delegated to the counties. I am a libertarian, but remember that the recommended mask protects others, not yourself. All kinds of knuckleheads running all over NOT wearing mask that protect you. Unless you are wearing a real N95 mask you are at higher risk around these dopes. Very unnerving and in my opinion, very dangerous and stupid. Is it really that hard to wear a mask that protects others?
