WYNDHAM OWNERS BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING
Opinión escrita el 13 de Septiembre de 2021
When I made this reservation for a quick recharger last week, I asked over and over if the room would look like this …2 bedroom deluxe ….70k points for three nights …and was assured over and over it would look like this. Beach view out of two windows in the living room. I was driving six hours , and all I wanted was a view of the ocean and NOT another building. I get there , check in, get the same old BS about being a valued owner…get to my 2 bedroom deluxe unit , and what do I see out of all three rooms windows ??? The building next door !! I call reservation and complain and they tell me that they can’t do anything for me since I am already checked in, and that I would have to talk to the front desk. I go back downstairs , and talk to Tori and we are getting rudely interrupted by some woman behind the desk raising her voice at me “ I gave you the best unit we had “. I don’t know what she was trying to accomplish with her unprofessional behavior , but I immediately checked out. Funny ….they chased me down the stairs looking for their parking pass. 🤣😆 Wyndham Owners beware !!!! These people try to feed you the kool aid …but they will treat you worse than any Motel 6, and will not offer any solution for THEIR false advertising !! Thank God I was able to find an ocean front room immediately , and was greeted like a valued guest upon arrival ! DO NOT BUY WYNDHAM TIMESHARE. They will lure you to buy with pretty pictures , and you end up looking at a building instead the beach !!
DISAPPOINTING! 2nd Stay Poor Views Both Visits
Opinión escrita el 12 de Julio de 2021
I would not recommend wasting points at this resort as the rooms we were given on two visits were both extremely disappointing. The property is updated in a clean contemporary style and the location is prime; however we once again encountered a Club Wyndham Ownership stay that was not superior to paying and booking through the typical hotel/resort stay manner. I asked how we might improve the odds of gaining better access to our desired room type and was given the typical rhetoric by the MOD. She could have at least comped a few meals by the pool or credited a night’s points for our trouble. She asked me if I wanted Champagne…ummmm no…for health reasons I cannot drink. Nada. Nothing. Zilch.bI won’t hold my breath waiting for an appropriate response from management or corporate. And they want us to purchase more points?! Why on earth would we? See pic for the great view of cable and rope!
Our favorite florida resort
Opinión escrita el 8 de Marzo de 2021
We are Club Wyndham owners, and this is our favorite resort to redeem our points on. We have been going 1-2 times yearly since this resort opened. We live in Central Florida, and this is our preferred beach, it is less than a 2 hour drive and we just don't care much for the Atlantic side. We like to book presidential 2 bedroom when they are available, but if not, a regular 2 bedroom is still very nice. Though the presidential suites have the appliances that are more like being at home. You can get cold, filtered water from the fridge, which is huge for us since we are big water drinkers. The resort is very clean everywhere, though doesn't offer too many amenities unfortunately. There is one large pool and one or two large hot tubs. No kids pool or splash area. There is an outdoor bar that also serves appetizers. It is a short walk across the street to the beach, and the street has a crosswalk. Parking is included with your Club Wyndham stay (not for the Wyndham Grand, which is the hotel side). Oh and the offer a draft beer or prosecco at check-in, which is a nice little treat!
Friendly warm clean

Upon arriving the staff treated us to complimentary Prosecco. The check in process was easy and quick. Everyone had mask on and their were numerous hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. When needed extra supplies like towels and wash cloths they were quick and efficient to the request. Great customer service and nice room. We stayed in a presidential one bedroom suite. Will be back in the future.
Nice property but ok stay

Pros are that the property itself is beautiful and in a great location. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was very clean, modern and nicely equipped. It had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Free parking for one car.
I would not recommend the room we were given, 577, due to the disappointing view. Was told it was a pool view, but could only see a glimpse of it because of the way the room was positioned just above a landing that is part of the building structure. If sitting from a particular angle we could see the Gulf from balcony. No view from the bedroom window at all.
Check-in was busy and slow. I was told at check-in( by who I believe is the front-desk manager) that because I booked through Airbnb I was eligible for a promotion for a future stay (to encourage direct booking) and she would call me the next day. She did not call and at check-out I inquired about it and the person behind the desk did not know what I was talking about but said she would leave a message for the manager. Never heard from her.
Beach chairs with umbrellas and/or cabanas are available but run by an outside company for an extra cost ($30 for 2 loungers and umbrella or $40 for 2 loungers and a cabana). We asked front desk what time chairs are for rent for the next day and were told 8am but to get there early because they go fast. They actually do not rent until 10am. It is still good to get there a little early though, because as they are being put out, people start to claim them. The rental people come around at some point to get paid and you can charge them to your room.
In terms of Covid-19 safety, if you are a person who is concerned with following safety precautions, I would not recommend this hotel or Clearwater in general. There were staff members, including front desk staff, not wearing masks or not wearing them correctly. The hotel was at capacity, and although there were signs around encouraging distancing, it was not being practiced. Clearwater in general was very crowded with no restrictions in place. Looked like a ton of fun for those not concerned about Covid-19.
