I don’t know why this place has as high a review as it does on this site. The carpeted areas looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months, paint peeling, musty moldy smell in the room, beds are hard as rock. No trash cans in the room what so ever. We booked the room for two nights couldn’t even stay the first night, went across the street to the La Quinta for the rest of the weekend.
Exhaust fan not working, hallways smelled like crap.

Paint was peeling and bathroom was grungy. I did not enjoy the nazi bed check at 11:00 pm performed by management. The ice machines were warm and the staff was cold. Exhaust fan not working, hallways smelled like crap.

The place is a little dated but it has its charm. We always book the rooms facing the mountain. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful. The location is a bit hard to find, but if you're looking for a quiet place, this is it.
Place of Deception: Buyer Beware!

Much to my dismay, I booked a room here several months ago through a travel site which offered this motel at a discounted "hot rate" price without identifying the specific hotel upfront. From the posted photos it looked like a pleasant, well-maintained property. When I arrived, I could see that at one time -- a long time ago -- it probably was. What the pictures didn't show was the ubiquitous dirt and dust in the hallways and rooms. It seemed like either the hotel's vacuum cleaners didn't work or the housekeeping staff just didn't bother. I declined the first room I was offered because of its appallingly dirty carpet, only to get another room with a clogged toilet and a TV that would only work by borrowing the master remote control from the front desk. While the staff seemed friendly, the occupants of the long-term residency rooms on the far side of the property definitely seemed less than amicable -- and certainly not the type of people one would wish to have around his family members. Incidentally, there was some kind of police incident during my stay, apparently involving someone from the far side. Sadly, my decision to stay here had been based largely on my expectation of spending some quality time in the pool. However, not only did I find the pool closed during my visit, but apparently closed permanently! So, not only was I terribly disappointed, but I felt I had been badly deceived from the onset. Regrettably, my stay here was the low point of my visit to the area, mainly for a church conference in Cleveland. From reviewing the motel's postings on various travel sites, I see that it is advertised variously with a quality rating ranging from 2 to 3 1/2 stars out of a possible 5. From my experience, though, it doesn't even deserve 1 star. My best advice: Pass on this place!
