i was in the area for a funeral. besides the family funeral, there should have been one for this hotel dirty,moldy, noisy,worn and devoid of promised services. it might be time to bring in the bulldozers.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The first thing I noticed was the horrible mold in the room which had me sneezing every 5 minutes- otherwise it seemed clean and I was tired so I chose to ignore that. Then came the SCREAMING and banging on doors of a herd of unsupervised kids at nearly midnight ----Who lets their kids do that??? For not just a minute or two (at first I thought they were just on the way to their room but 30 minutes later it was clear they were just running amok on the entire floor with no end in sight. Turns out the entire family and extended family of management lives here full time - I suspected so and then saw other reviews from months back describing the same exact group to a T - the unsupervised kids on scooters and the managements blatant unwillingness to do anything about it - rooms with over a dozen people in them and screaming children running unsupervised up and down the hall after 11pm. A whole block of rooms with open doors where people were just coming and going. Drove 10 hours today and clearly wasn't going to get any sleep here. Called front desk and the guy could care less. Said he called the parents but could not leave the desk (which was hilarious because when I arrived to check in there was a sign saying the front desk would be right back while I stood there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to check me in.) He knew exactly who I was talking about and which room they were in which is why I guessed they were family. I told him I would have to go personally to tell them to quiet down if he would not (which I obviously did not want to do) So unprofessional - he still refused and sounded bored. He said he'd call them again (because clearly that's working) I finally did go to the room myself and the door was half ajar with over a dozen adults and more children having a party. I asked them to please quiet down (I honestly wasn't very nice at this point understandably) Grown men just stared out of the room grinning like it was absolutely hilarious and then a teenager with their group approaches from down the hall way and starts yelling at me at for telling them to quiet down. I ended up getting a refund and leaving. Again the guy at the front desk could not care less and was really rude- he refused to give me a receipt of the refund or proof I was not going to be charged and just said there was no charge (even though my citi card online already shows the charge) I'll be filing a chargeback with my credit card. I should have read the reviews first. Hope you did!

Disappointed to see a once favorite hotel winding down

I have stayed here many times over the past years and it used to be a nice place to stay. It appears hotel is slowly winding down. It may be getting converted to assisted housing. The Large beautiful staircase that adorned the lobby has been ripped out. No longer serving hot breakfast. Restaurant/bar was out of a number of the items on their limited menu, however, the bartender was excellent. We watched the pool tables being rolled out the front door. The once beautiful rock waterfall is not running.

I gave an excellent review while I was there, but I should have waited. I was there for 3 nites.There was a breakfast buffet from 6 am to 10 am Monday. I was there at 9 am before I was checking out. There was scrabbled eggs but no bacon or sausage like the other mornings, so I asked the front desk, she went back to the kitchen, I guess, and came back with "sorry we don't have that", not even we can make more or we will get more there was still and hour to go. I checked out early just to have that breakfast.....BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!!!!

Understaffed, AC not working, large heated pool

The good: large warm pool. Comfy beds with a selection of pillows from firm to soft.. The bad: we arrived to a warm, humid room and immediately set the thermostat to 70 thinking it would cool down while we were out to dinner. Nope. It was 88 outside and the room temp didn't budge from 75 degrees and humidity didnt drop either. Called the front desk and it rang with no answer. Had to go down to the front desk. They sent up maintenance at 830pm to check in the room, everything looked good there and he said he'd reset something g elsewhere and give it time. By 10pm, the outside air was 73 but the room was still 75. And the window was not able to be opened bc it was screwed shut. That's probably a safety thing since we were on the 5rh floor. We had a 2-bed room and were only given 2 sets of towels which we shared between 3 people. Front desk was alerted in the morning and seemed super helpful, and we felt housekeeping would surely be there if we gave 4 hours notice. We checked again after breakfast. No towels yet,,but we saw the housekeeping cart was on our floor. We checked again around 4pm when we stopped by just before dinner. Still no towels. After dinner, we still had no towels so we went for a swim bc surely we could get towels there. Nope. The towels were empty there too. Overall the place could be nice but there are some major issues with the AC and understaffed esp in housekeeping.
