Go-to Place in Clovis
Opinión escrita el 15 de septiembre de 2022
Clovis the half way point on the way to Colorado. We stayed at the Sleep inn going and coming home.It is a very nice motel especially for the money. We always ask for room 134 at the back of the property. The trains are noisy but I never notice them between 10pm and 7am so not an issue for me.Our room has always been clean and the bed and bedding is nice and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate. Desk staff is friendly and helpful.

Just Okay

I normally do not stay at Sleep Inns. I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom shower did not drain well. It’s a gross feeling to take a shower in standing water. The train whistle was loud and annoying. The couple upstairs had a late night argument with lots of yelling and swearing. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Great if you like train horns

The motel is across from the main line of the BNSF railroad as are most of the motels in Clovis. A local told us a train whistles thru every 8 -11 minutes announced by 4 blasts on the horn. We found out too late that there are quiet motels on North Prince street. We requested a HC room. What we got was a room with 2 grab bars and a step in tub with a ring of black mold. The room had a funky smell from trying to cover up cigarette smoke with spray on orange scent. Didn't work. We were given a new room (not HC) which was better. Desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was the usual powdered eggs, greasy sausage, waffles and aged bananas.

Absolutely terrible

My mom and I came her to visit my brother in the Air Force. When I walked into our room, the bathtub drain was backed up and not cleaned. The whole room smelled like animals, and it was disgusting. There was literal DIRT in the shower! I did not want to complain because I just wanted to have a good trip and I decided to clean it a little myself. Yet, when my mom took a shower, because the drain was backed up, the water filled up and she slipped and fell, and hurt herself, and management did not do ANYTHING. They said they cannot refund her, and the only thing they can do is change our room, when she has a history of surgery’s on her back, and it caused her great pain. This hotel is not worth your time, nor your money. They cannot even provide water. Do not waste your money.

Without a doubt, one of the nicest motels I have ever stayed at. When i requested a room on the first floor and as far away from the train tracks, I was moved to the room at the back of the motel on the first floor. The room was immaculate and very nice. They have really handled breakfast during covid well - everything was prepackaged but the biscuit/egg sandwiches and muffins were first rate (the biscuit sandwich was as good as you could get at a fast food restaurant). I highly recommend and will return when we travel through Clovis again.
