Not much aside from a pool

Reviewed 18 august, 2019

This hotel is very basic. Not really close to anything. You can only buy coffee during breakfast hours. To get a drink in the " bar" you need to ask the front desk clerk to call the restauurant staff then go to the restaurant to get it. The pool bar is open from 4 to 7 but they arrive anytime before 4:30 and close at 6:00 because it's their dinner break. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and helpful and Ana at the front desk ia amazing! She made our stay worthwhile.

Small but beautiful hotel

Reviewed 3 december, 2016

It's a small hotel in a beautiful location close to the beach. Downside is the challenge of transportation, not such a great breakfast and less options to eat. Staff are amazing and very friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and switch yourself off from the buzz of the city.

Blast from the past

I was trying to select a date for this hotel but it doesn't go back to 1979...... This is when I stayed as a young boy when we holidayed with mam and dad and my older brother......... Looking at the pics it hasn't changed one little bit.... We had a fantastic time with a package tour from London.... The staff were lovely and rooms nice and clean also a good Base for Lisbon and sintra..... We did appear in a holiday brochure from the time when photographers were there....

One option in the area

Reviewed 16 july, 2016

Quiet, good to sleep, but with many people, may be diferent because the building structure. Very clean generally, but it seems a bit seedy. The closet have a trap for the fingers. Little parking. It's one option in the area.

HORRIBLE

Reviewed 13 march, 2016

We are currently staying in the Vip Inn Miramonte & are quite confused as to where the 'Vip' comes from. In our room, we have a small heater that barely works, the batteries in the to control are dead & the door to our balcony doesn't shut properly! For the door to shut fully, we have to slam it hard causing the ceiling to sound as though it is going to cave in! We asked the woman at reception if we could be provided with 2 extra pillows and 2 extra bath towels, the pillows didn't seem like a problem but she wasn't very inclined to give us extra towels. When we did receive them, they were hand towels rather than bath towels. We are completely secluded from everything!! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and although there are transport links to get to places, nothing is as straight forward as it sounds. Our first day here we asked for a tram schedule & to be directed to the nearest supermarket. There were no tram schedules available but we were told to wait outside and one was due to be with us within 15 minutes. We started to walk and almost 20 minutes later we have no idea where we are and still no tram! Today we ventured into the nearest 'Town' Sintra, a taxi costing us over 15 euros! The town itself is a beautiful tourist attraction but there is nothing really 'wow' about it. We have spent the past 2 days wallowing in self pity and were thinking about whether to stay somewhere else or just hibernate until the holiday is over... Definitely a let down and we have made an oath never to return to Portugal.
